We welcome you to experience the beautiful Finger Lakes from our lake home! Whether your preference is relaxing lakeside with an amazing view, hiking the scenic Watkins Glen State Park, or visiting your favorite Winery/Brewery, we have it all within 5-15 minutes from our beautiful Seneca Lakeside cottage. Modern meets original charm! Enjoy this 2 bedroom, plus King bed in large open loft, on Seneca Lake with spacious new kitchen and renovated bathroom. With warmer weather stays, there is plenty of outdoor living space - an expansive deck for day or evening relaxation, extra-large dock where all guests can appreciate the lake life, green space for yard games, and a firepit for campfires to catch a stunning sunset. For cooler weather stays, even better to enjoy that warm fire, game night or a movie night. And of course, for all weather stays, the variety of wineries, breweries, restaurants, hiking trails or surrounding area museums will have you exploring for days. The Seneca Lakeside and Wine Trail Cottage is perfectly located with a 10 min drive into Watkins Glen and situated at the beginning of the Seneca Lake East side Wine Trail. Surrounding area drives into Ithaca, Trumansburg, Corning and Geneva are within 25-45 minutes. Exterior: The road down to the house is a single lane road and on the flat elevation becomes a gravel road. 4WD and FWD vehicles are suggested. If you are visiting during the year with potential for snow, a 4WD vehicle is needed to navigate the driveway and lake road. Parking is available in the driveway and will accommodate 3 vehicles. There are stairs to enter the cottage as well as stairs to the dock. Please note that some of the outdoor stairways do not have railings. Also, as is characteristic with lake side property there is uneven ground to be mindful of. This terrain is not ideal for younger children or older adults that require assistance. The flatter grass area is accessed from the deck stairs and the firepit is on a lower elevation of the yard. Both areas have a beautiful unobstructed view of the lake. Again, please note that uneven ground and inclines are not suited for those with mobility concerns and young children must be monitored and assisted as needed. Interior: The cottage has a new fully equipped kitchen and is open to the dining and living room. There is a mini split AC unit in the common area, which cools the entire place, but note the back bedrooms have ceiling fans for night cooling if the doors are shut. The 2 bedrooms are on the smaller side but have roomy beds - 1 Queen and 1 King. Closets and/or wardrobe are available for storage. The loft is very spacious with 1 King bed and a single size sofa, but the room is open to the living space below. The cottage is equipped with heat for cooler weather stays as well as the gas fireplace. The tap water is filtered and used for coffee, cooking and brushing teeth. Some do drink the tap water due to its ultraviolet filtering, but a water cooler dispenser is onsite for drinking. Guests will have access to the entire cottage, outdoor area and dock and enjoy the seclusion of 200 ft. of lake frontage. Note, the property is not fenced. * No parties are allowed. * Only registered guests are allowed. * Please remove shoes upon entering the home. * There is no smoking allowed in the house. Please note this cottage is not equipped with Wi-Fi but does have cell service. The 42” TV has Direct TV Dish. There is wood onsite for campfires. Water shoes are needed for water access. There are 2 Kayaks and life vests for use. Check in after 3:00 and check out time is 11:00 am.
