Guest suite in Selah

Private upstairs space in our 5-bedroom home. More than just a room! The Guest Suite is around 600sqft over the garage all completely private to guests: one bedroom, a living room with futon, a spacious bathroom with oversized shower, and a kitchenette. Keyless entry access to upstairs suite is through the main house mudroom; no private entrance, just private inside 15-step staircase. The space The Guest Suite has everything for a short or longer stay. Bedroom and bathroom each have a locking door. Since this is an upstairs space, please note there is NO door on the stairs. There is only a privacy curtain at the top of the stairs. The landing area has a well appointed kitchenette with a mini fridge, air fryer, microwave, ice maker, and electric kettle. There is a Keurig & stocked coffee bar. Ample sized bathroom includes linens along with toiletries, hair dryer, lighted magnifying makeup mirror, and clothes iron. Our non-smoking home is at the end of a quiet safe dead-end street less than 10 minutes from downtown Selah. We live in the rest of the house! There is the possibility to hear us in the kitchen/living room on the main level. Since the guest space is over the garage the big doors are audible should they open & close. Guest access Parking will be on the low-traffic street but guests may load/unload in the driveway; driveway is sloped down from the street. There is a half-bath powder room at the mudroom entrance that guests may use (shared) but the only other shared space besides the mudroom entrance will be the covered decks in the front and back of the house that have seating areas to enjoy the view. Guests will pass through the main level kitchen to access the back deck. No cooking access in the main kitchen. During your stay We are happy to interact as much as guests prefer. There is a guidebook in the suite (and at the bottom of my host profile) that has our best recommendations for local food, hiking, breweries, wineries, and must-see places. Other things to note No pets with guest rental but there are two neutered male cats in the house (Julius & Teddy) that are kept out of the guest suite. If you happen to see them, it’s okay to let them in or outside the house if they ask. Gorge Amphitheatre: If you are considering us for a concert at the Gorge Amphitheatre, we are about a 1 hour and 20 minute drive and we do not mind the late night arrivals. Guests can expect quiet hours from 10pm to 6am during weekday stays. We both work full-time during the week, occasionally from home. There are no security cameras onsite. No daily room service. Room is cleaned after checking out. Fresh towels & trash removal can be arranged for stays longer than three days. We do the cleaning and changing of all linens, no need to strip the beds before checkout. We have one other private downstairs bedroom with attached private bathroom in the house listed on AirBnB that sleeps two. We are open to discounts & custom agreements with more amenities for extended stays. We’ve hosted long-term tenants in this space in the past. Let’s chat!
