The Old School House Annex

This light and airy private attached annex is located in the wonderful village of Littlehempston just 5 minutes’ drive from lively Totnes and metres from acclaimed country pub the Tally Ho! The Old School House Annex is the perfect getaway for a couple or pair of friends, wanting to explore the stunning South Devon coastline, picturesque Dartmoor and quirky Totnes! The space The annex has a lovely open plan bedroom with king-sized bed, small dining area and modern kitchen with all appliances, plus a newly refurbished stylish bathroom. Adjoined to an 1875 old schoolhouse, the annex has its own entrance, small garden, and summer house/hut, perfect for sitting out and enjoying a G&T and the sounds of the birds. The property retains traditional character but also includes a host of modern comforts, making it an ideal home away from home. This Airbnb shares gated carparking with the main house. Littlehempston’s wonderful Tally Ho pub, which is a stone’s throw away, is open every day except Monday, with great food, an outside area, good beer selection and monthly fish nights! There is a public footpath, lovely stream, and fields to stretch your legs just past the pub and church. Totnes is a quirky town with many independent artisan shops and eateries and a fabulous Friday and Saturday market. Guest access Shared carparking with main house. The annex has its own front door entrance and small private garden with seating area. Other things to note Please note there is a trainline which runs alongside the main house garden. Though the trains are fairly regular, they are not very loud and go by in a matter of seconds. Our bedroom and bathroom are located above the annex space so there will be some noise of movement as we access the stairs. We do have two medium size dogs who are very friendly to dogs and people, but occasionally bark and play near the annex. The television is small! Internet: we do provide WIFI which works fine however, it is not very fast and can be patchy at times.
