Adorable 1-Bedroom Guest Cottage in Rowayton

1-bed cottage just redone, in the charming beach town of Rowayton! There's a separate living room, bathroom and a small kitchenette, perfect for a couple or family. Bedroom has a king size bed. Pullout couch in the living area can be setup as a queen bed (you walk thru the living room to access bedroom). This cottage is in the backyard of our main house; you will need to walk thru our grassy backyard to access it. Please know our dog and two young children may be running around in the backyard! The space Bedroom has a king size bed and an in-window air conditioner. Living room has a couch, flat screen TV and small table with two chairs. You have to walk through the living room space to access the bedroom. Bathroom has sloping ceilings but was just redone with a new shower/tub combo and brand new vanity. You cannot take a soaking tub bath (not a large enough hot water tank for adults). Kids bath or shower works best. The kitchenette has a toaster oven, microwave, medium sized fridge/freezer and a set of 4 dishes. There is also an electric kettle and a hot plate, but there is no dishwasher or stove. Best for heating up small meals, but not for full cooking. To access the cottage, you will walk from the street, through the gate to our backyard, and then through our grassy yard. Please be prepared and bring the right shoes / umbrella / etc for the weather, and please know that it could be dark at night - it is set a ways back from the road. The outdoor area is shared with our house. Our backyard is fully fenced in, including the cottage. There are two chairs on the front area of the cottage; these are in our backyard / shared space and facing toward our house so it’s likely you’ll see our family. Please be mindful not to let our dog out when going thru the gates to the backyard, and please make sure to close the gates behind you. Our house is on a quiet cul de sac street ; you can park directly in front of our house, by our black mailbox with the #3 on it. Guest access The cottage will be entirely yours. You’re also welcome to use the outdoor area of the cottage (two chairs, as shown in the photos) but please remember this is in our backyard, and as such, we ask for family-friendly guests only. We have a 4 year old, a 2 year old and a dog— plus often have other friends and their children who might be in the backyard or on our deck. Other things to note Please ask before using our personal backyard equipment (including the inflatable pool, zip line or toys). We’re usually happy to share but best to discuss with us directly, so we can share any previous commitments / plans we have.
