Renovated Character Cottage, East Meon

Recently renovated grade II listed cottage in the heart of the village with the River Meon running outside the front. The cottage is sandwiched between two quaint pubs and you can walk to the village shop. Step directly out into beautiful views and walks of The South Downs National Park. Use the back garden for BBQs and roasting marshmallows around the fire pit. This cottage is all set up for a country get away. The space Inside - Ground Floor The downstairs is an open plan design including 3 main areas. The kitchen and dining room seats up to 6-8 ppl and opens onto the patio and back garden. There is plenty of space to lounge in the living room and cosy up to the wood burner in the colder months. We offer a generous amount of cut wood, firelighters and logs within our rates. The snug features a large sofa, sheepskin bean bag and soft blankets to curl up and watch a film. Inside - Middle Floor This floor has 2 big bedrooms, a large landing area and the family bathroom. Bedroom 1 consists of a kingsize bed and a toddler bed or cot can be added here. Bedroom 2 consists of a single bed and cots or toddler bed or a a mattress on the floor can be added here, there is plenty of room. The bathroom features a freestanding bath, large powerful shower, sink and loo. Inside - Top Floor This is the master bedroom with ensuite. This large room features a super king bed with luxury bed linen by Tekla. The ensuite has a bath, sink and loo. Garden For the winter months the garden offers a patio area, a fire pit, picnic bench and lounge chair by Hay. Feel free to pick the apples, plums and rhubarb. For the summer months the garden offers a patio area with garden furniture by Hay and the lawn with a BBQ, sun lounger, parasol, paddling pool if requested and the decking area with outdoor dining set up. There is a herb garden next to back door which guests are free to pick at during their stay. The Barn - Back Garden This is where you will find the fully equipped wash room, boot room and log store. Part of the barn is yet to be renovated. Guests don't have access to this. Guest access Self check-in and self check-out, so no need to see us if you don't want. Key safe box provided with code. One private parking space directly outside with plenty of roadside parking in the village close to the cottage. Other things to note Please request if you would like to bring a dog or pet as we have rules that need to be agreed. Kids and babies welcome and the host can tailor the cottage to suit its visitors, supplying cots, beds, toys and highchairs and stair gates.
