Tyn y Big: large house & grounds, Abersoch & Llyn

Tyn y Big is a private haven of tranquility, completely surrounded by its own gardens, fields and woodland. Recently fully refurbished, it is a home away from home, with a well appointed country kitchen and conservatory. It has a large sociable lounge with log-burner and a separate cozy snug room. It is a place to really enjoy spending time relaxing with family and friends. The outside space has a wonderful patio and seating area and enjoys far-reaching views of the surrounding countryside. The space We want our guests to enjoy our home and treat it as their own, with love and respect. A three year programme of renovation was completed in Spring 2021. A welcoming solarium and dining area, comprising a large circular table and seating, leads into a farmhouse kitchen diner, with Rangemaster, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave and washer/dryer. Through the stable door into a large lounge area with ample versatile seating, 65” HD TV, with BT TV and log burner. Down the passageway and into the original stone cottage, you will find a second sitting area (snug), with cosy log effect electric fire, bookcase, TV and games consoles and a karaoke. Opposite is a cosy king size room and up the stairs is a family bathroom, twin bedroom and single bedroom. Back down the corridor you will locate another twin room, large luxury bathroom with walk in shower. A further separate WC is found just before stepping into the back hallway, off which you will find an extensive family bedroom with king size bed, day bed and triple aspect views to the surrounding fields. A third bathroom is next door, with quadrant shower. Up the rear stairs is a further double bedroom and across the landing is a very large super king size bedroom with open views. The house is surrounded by its own private gardens and has a large Indian stone patio area, with rattan dining set and sun loungers, along with a charcoal fire barbecue. The house and gardens sit within 10 acres of private fields and woodland. The driveway has room for several vehicles and the property is accessed from a long private lane. Guest access The whole home is at our guests disposal but we ask they keep outside gates closed and dogs on leads, when walking in the fields, as they are grazed with livestock. Other things to note The Guest information book is a “how to” guide and we ask that you read it upon arrival. Everything you need to know, to ensure an enjoyable stay, is contained within it. We remind guests that Tyn y Big is no smoking accommodation and we also ask that you do not light candles.
