Cozy cottage with pond & walking trails

A cozy cottage nestled on 40 peaceful acres of woods and streams. Walk out your backdoor to a clear pond for swimming or explore the surrounding walking trails. At night fireflies fill the sky and the only sounds you'll hear are the owls calling. The space The space has two bedrooms each with a double bed. The third bedroom is a sleeping loft accesible by a ladder and located above the kitchen with a double mattress and windows overlooking the forest. The living area is drenched in sunlight with floor to ceiling windows overlooking a mossy lawn and into the woods. Step out the door and you'll be surrounded by walking paths that meander through the forest and streams. In your backyard you have a fire pit. The pond has two docks and a canoe you're welcome to use while you're here. * We have a wood-fired sauna located at the pond, which we can arrange for an additional fee. Feel free to reach out to use one you book to learn more. The cottage is located down a long driveway off a country road. While the land has many trails, you can also take a short 1 mile walk from the house to access to the beautiful Hand Hollow Conservation Area. The very walkable village of Chatham is located less than 15 minutes away, which has a brewery, great pub, bookstore and handful of local shops. The town of New Lebanon is 10 minutes away and has a wonderful indoor farmers market with fresh vegetables, fruit, local meat, cheese and many staples, that is open 5 days a week. Your hosts live in a separate house through the woods on the same property. We have a small flower farm by our house as well as free range hens. When in season, we'll have eggs and fresh flowers for sale. Guest access Pond Canoe Walking trails Fire pit The pond and walking trails are shared with the residents of the land. Sauna use can be arranged with hosts. Guests do not have access to the barn or yurt.
