Description
Relax and explore Ardfern from High Corranbeg, a spectacular timber-clad home with solar power, underfloor heating and accommodation for up to eight. Our house has a big kitchen with comfy chairs that opens onto an outdoor seating/dining area and is surrounded by acres of native woodland, lawns and fruit trees with wonderful walks. The house is a beautiful ten-minute walk from the village pub, cafe and shop and a short drive from loads of other local attractions. We hope you enjoy your stay. The space This beautiful Scandinavian-style home was designed by local architect Tom McCardel and built in 2011. It makes the most of the spectacular site and extensive grounds with views out to the patio, lawns and orchard to the south, north to an avenue of magnificent old beech trees, and east over Loch Craignish. Downstairs, the entrance hallway opens onto a large open-plan kitchen dining area with breakfast bar and fitted seating on one side and a large double bedroom with ensuite bathroom. French windows open up from the kitchen to the patio and lawn. The ground floor also contains a large utility room, a cloakroom and a massive covered lean-to area at the rear. Upstairs, there is a TV/sitting room with a very well-stocked library and a wood burner, plus two double bedrooms, a bathroom and a bedroom with bunk beds. There is plenty of cupboard space and underfloor heating with individual thermostats on both floors.
