What's nearby: This home is just off the shores at Moody Point, giving you easy access to the Atlantic waters and within a short half-mile walk up the coast of Crescent Beach. The town of Wells, with its restaurants and shops, is just three and a half miles north of the home, and the tides at Wells Beach are nearby (one and a half miles from your door). Things to know: Free WiFi Full kitchen Washer & dryer The fireplace is decorative and not for use Guest access You'll enter through a handle-style electronic lock on the front door. Enter your 10-digit code, and when the Schlage button flashes green, wait 3 seconds for the locking mechanism to fully disengage, then pull the handle down to open. The door automatically locks when you close it, so take care not to lock yourself out. If the Schlage light flashes red, press the button to reset it (it will flash green again), then re-enter your code. After 3 unsuccessful attempts, the system locks for 30 seconds before you can try again. Check-in is at 4pm and checkout is at 10am unless a late checkout was offered to you. During peak season (Memorial Day through Labor Day and holidays), early check-in is not available - please plan to arrive at 4pm. Outside peak season, if an early check-in or late checkout is available, you'll receive an email or SMS with that offer. Other things to note You'll have a small grass area in the backyard to the right of the cottage, extending about 8 feet from the back porch. The home has a TV in the living room with cable access. A local lawn care company provides weekly lawn maintenance; the day of the week can vary depending on their schedule and weather. This property is located in beautiful Southern Maine, where insects and pests are part of the natural environment. The homeowners typically have monthly pest control to minimize their presence, but complete elimination is not guaranteed. Depending on the season, you may encounter mosquitoes, black flies, ticks, sand fleas, spiders, beetles, ants, no-see-ums, beach flies, deer flies, and houseflies. Please bring bug spray for outdoor activities. The fireplace is purely decorative and not available for guest use. Trash and recyclables are picked up once a week on Friday by a local contractor (subject to change).
