Located less than a 1.5-hour drive from the GTA, this cottage is ideal for fishing, canoeing, swimming off the dock, and enjoying firepit and BBQ. The space This property is licensed by the City of Kawartha Lakes for short term rental (License# STR2026-151). Guests are required to sign and follow Renter's Code of Conduct document provided by the City of Kawartha. The content of this document is included in house rules below. The document will be emailed for e-signature once the reservation is confirmed. The cottage has a spacious living room with two smart TVs, DVD library and electric fireplace which makes it a great spot for late-night movies. You can also enjoy playing foosball. With the close proximity to the GTA and lots of activities, both indoors and outdoors, this is a perfect cottage to enjoy in both the summer and winter! The living room connects out to the deck, which has clear views of the lake and offers picture-perfect sunset views. In the living room, you will be able to enjoy watching Netflix and YouTube on a smart TV while staying warm in front of the cottage's electric fireplace. You can also watch DVDs in one of the bedrooms. The kitchen has an open-style concept that looks into the living room. On the exterior, the deck, dock and fire pit have clear views of the water and sunset. The cottage includes a BBQ with outdoor table and 8 chairs, and a fire pit with 6 chairs. A kayak and canoe are included, and the dock includes a ladder for easy entry and exit (in the summer). Waterfront The dock extends into the water, making it great for swimming and you can jump off the dock (no diving). The dock includes a ladder for easy entry and exit, however, there is no shallow entry point, making it better suited for older children. You are able to fish off of the dock. The document will be emailed for e-signature once the reservation is confirmed. - No pets allowed - No parties or events allowed - Absolutely no smoking any tobacco, cannabis or other items during stay - No person shall make noise to cause a disturbance or conduct themselves in a way that is likely to disturb others. Examples of noise that is likely to disturb others at any time include: (i) Loud music; (ii) Outdoor or backyard gatherings or activities involving excessive noise or disruptive behaviour; (iii) Late evening/early morning disturbances; and (iv) Yelling, shouting, singing or conversing loudly Failure to comply with the conditions of the City of Kawartha Lakes Noise By-law may result in fee charges or legal action being taken against the guests and host. - The maximum number of guests is limited to 8 - Parking for 3 cars. No parking allowed on the street or lawn. - Guests are responsible for removing all Garbage / Recycles. Guests are responsible to bring their garbage bags. - Linens and indoor towels are provided for all reservations; please bring your own outdoor towels - Paper products will be available to start but guests need to bring enough supply for their stay - Guests are responsible to bring toiletries - The cottage is to be left in a tidy condition - There is no lifeguard monitoring the shoreline. Guests are responsible for their own and their children safety. - Guests must provide their lifejackets/PFDs to ensure a proper fit - Guests must always put the canoe and kayak back on their rack after each use. - The lake may sometimes get weedy. We recommend bringing water shoes. - Not suitable for infants (under 2 years). - Security camera/recording device: There are two outdoor cameras aimed at the driveway and sideway of the cottage, intended for security purposes only. - Amenity limitations — Please use water mindfully as the cottage has a holding tank and over-use of water (or leaving taps running) can lead to tank being filled during your stay and may take some time to get it pumped out. We respectfully ask that you please limit your shower time. - Laundry usage is not allowed. - Fire is only allowed in the firepit. Guests must adhere to Kawartha Lakes By-Law 2016-110 regarding safe fire regulations for any open air burns / bonfires. - Guests are not allowed to enter the crawl space for safety reasons. - Please be mindful that this is a family cottage, and we ask that all guests treat the cottage with upmost respect. Reminders: - The cottage has a filtered potable water provided by well. However, it is strongly recommended that guests bring bottled water - The tea lovers: bring your tea-light! - Keep the doors and screens closed to prevent the animals and insects entering the cottage. - Remove outdoor shoes inside the cottage. - Avoid putting any objects (paper or sanitary products, dental floss, etc) in the toilet. - Never leave the fire in the firepit unattended and put the fire down before calling for the night. On the check-out day: - Return the board games, DVD’s and CD’s back to their original place - Clean the dishes and place them in their original place - Convert the sofa beds back to sofa form - Close all the curtains - Lock the entrance door and the sliding door at the deck.
