The Jetty House Cottage - a cabin by the sea

Set on the grounds of the historic Jetty House, this self-contained cottage offers the perfect rural getaway for families and friends. Situated in the most southern town in Australia, Southport offers an ideal base for exploring the untouched wilderness of Tasmania’s Far South. The cottage is located a stone’s throw away from the white sands of Southport Bay and a short drive away from Roaring Beach, Hastings Caves, Huon Valley, hot springs, air walk, cockle creek and historic Recherche Bay. The space The cottage sits in the grounds of the heritage-listed Southport Jetty House, built by timber merchant Robert Graves in the early 1870s. The cottage comfortably accommodates up to seven guests with three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a large open-plan living space. Two of the bedrooms offer double beds and the third has three singles, all including electric blankets. The kitchen is fully equipped with high-quality appliances including a refrigerator, oven, gas cooktop, microwave, dishwasher and all the essentials you need for a comfortable stay. Guest access The cottage shares a driveway with the Jetty House with plenty of on-site parking available. The accommodation is self-contained with private access and a large garden/lawn, including an unimpeded view of Southport Bay. The main house is located approx. 50m from the cottage. Southport Bay is a 2-minute walk from the cottage. Other things to note Please note that the property has two dogs that live in the Jetty House and may occasionally share the driveway with the Cottage. Registration Details VA-9/2022
