Transi the Van-Perfect for a weekend in Düsseldorf
Transi the Van-Perfect for a weekend in Düsseldorf
Transi the Van
Description
This accommodation is anything but ordinary. Transi was lovingly converted from a transport vehicle for people with disabilities to a camper in 2020/2021 and has everything you need for an unforgettable stay in Düsseldorf. You want to explore the city, visit the fair or meet friends? No problem! Transi is waiting for you with a view of the Düsseldorf skyline, at the Rheinterassen and the fees for the pitch 25€/24h are already included in the total price. :) The space Transi is a camping bus that has been converted with a lot of love and work. It has a spacious kitchenette with everything you need for an unforgettable stay in Düsseldorf. Here you will find cutlery, crockery, pots and pans, a gas cooker, a cool box and a small sink with running water (cold water) and two 19-litre fresh and waste water canisters. So you can see directly how much water you are using and can refill it if necessary with the spare canisters from the boot. There is only one outdoor shower, which can only be used on warm days. If you are staying longer than one or two days outside the summer season, you can take a shower at the beautiful Rheinbad in Düsseldorf Heerdt. You will find toilets at the campsite at the Rheinterassen. Transi also has two seating areas and an extendable table where you can enjoy a romantic dinner with a view of the Düsseldorf skyline. There are also two folding tables that are used as storage and outside bar. The bed can be extended to 2m in length. The width is 1.40m, so that two people can sleep on it without any problems. There is also a roof window, two side hinged windows and a side sliding window. The side windows are darkened so that no one can see into the van. But you can look out without any problems. There are also curtains for darkening. Furthermore, Transi has enough storage space for your clothes or groceries. In the boot there are also two comfortable camping chairs, two tables, a barbecue, various leisure items (hammock, bicycle pump or utensils that can be used if necessary). There is electricity in the bus, which goes into a battery via two solar panels. So you are self-sufficient for at least two days - even if it rains. You can charge your laptop/mobile phone, use the lights (with dimmer function) and the fridge without any problems. For warm days you can use Transi's awning, which protects you from the sun and creates extra space. On cold days, the auxiliary heating keeps you warm and also creates a cosy and comfortable atmosphere in the van. Guest access You have the whole van to yourself. Other things to note Transi is permanently parked at the Rheinterassen for your stay or alternatively at another official parking space in Düsseldorf that does not exceed the nightly rate of 25€. Unfortunately, Transi is not allowed to be parked "anywhere" overnight due to the German legal situation, as overnight stays are only permitted on official parking spaces. Unfortunately, driving with Transi is also not allowed for insurance reasons.
