SPACIOUS, bright, top floor bdrm in Historic Jackson Heights, pretty tree lined streets, historic garden buildings, skyline view of NYC. 25 mins by subway to Museum of Modern Art, Midtown Manhattan. 8 min walk 7 train and 10min from E,F,R,M trains. Ten min by bus from LGA Airport. 20 mins to Shea Stadium, Billy Jean King Tennnis Center (US Open) Elevator + laundry room. Near: great restaurants (Michelin Star- The Queensboro, a block away), supermarkets, farmers markets. The space Rating is 4.4 because 2 yrs ago, due to an emergency, I had to cancel several reservations! But read all my reviews-this space should have been rated 5.0! Bedroom: corner room with 3 windows, very bright and airy! Flat is on the top floor (6th) of building with elevator and laundry room access. The space is owned by artists, we r laid back and mostly not around! The photos in this ad include the whole apartment BUT the only common spaces are kitchen and bathroom. We are by famous Open Streets. Search for A Three-Bed, Two-Bath, One Open Street Apartment By John Surico Guest access Bathroom and Kitchen area, Laundry room in the building basement. Other things to note Jackson Heights is an NYC Historic District where Scrabble, Les Paul Guitar, and Xerox machine were invented. Close to Billy Jean King Tennis Stadium where US Open is held. The church where Scrabble was invented is a block away from the apartment. Many restaurants and cafes (w/ outdoor seating) downstairs in our block. This neighborhood has one of the best variety of cuisines and restaurants NYC has to offer (search the web for NYEater Jackson Heights). Grocery is a block away. There is a farmer's market a block away every Sunday. World famous jazz speakeasy Terazza 7 is 10 minutes away, performances from World Renowned Jazz greats! Jackson Heights is one of the oldest and most progressive neighborhoods in NYC. This is where the second largest gay community is. Jackson Heights, according to the UN, is why NYC is the center of the universe -- Jackson Heights has the most number of languages spoken per block. Jackson Heights is a 25 minute subway ride to Midtown Manhattan, 30-35 min ride to Brooklyn. If you want to experience the real NYC, hang out with real New Yorkers, experience Jackson Heights!
