Situated in the historic “Carpets and Draperies” building, originally Gerber’s Department Store (1922), this fully restored unit offers modern comforts, including free off-street parking, a fully stocked kitchen, and in-unit laundry. The space The unit is a 600 square foot 1 bed apartment, with ramp/ADA access and a dedicated entrance. The unit is located in the same historic, restored “Carpets and Draperies” building as Harrisburg’s best bakery/coffee spot, Raising the Bar bakery. The kitchen is fully stocked for cooking in unit. Check out the guide for shopping and dining suggestions. There are two queen beds in the bedroom, and a twin sized futon/sofa bed in the living room. Perfect for two couples (who don’t mind sharing a bedroom), or someone traveling with children. The bathroom has a shower, but no tub. Limited toiletries provided. The bathroom has a washer and dryer, which is available for use as well. The living room features a small dining table, large kitchen island, and cozy sitting area. Both the living room and bedroom have streaming-available flat screens (with your Netflix, Hulu account, etc.) Wi-Fi available too, of course. Other things to note You’ll get a key code for the front door keypad at check-in. Note there are 3 entrances to this building: a door to apartment A, and a door to apartments B-E, both on the side of the building. The front entrance accesses “Raising the Bar” bakery only. This AirBnB unit is Apartment A. You will not be able to enter Apartments B-E. You will of course get to visit the bakery when it’s open.
