The estate overlooks the Hudson Valley & Catskill Mountains located less than 30 min from downhill skiing/hiking in the Catskill Mountains & 15 minutes from the elevated Walkway Over The Hudson-miles of paved bike trails connecting Poughkeepsie to New Paltz. Other nearby hiking, cross-country skiing/paddling opportunities are the Black Creek Forest Preserve, Shaupeneak Ridge, John Burrough's, Mohonk Preserve, Minewaska Park the Wallkill & Rondout Creeks, Horse back riding & the Hudson River. Here is a short description of our property if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to email us we love to speak to our visitors directly. Bella Vista is family owned vacation property that sleeps between 12- 16 people & you can not have any more then 18 people (including all children) at any given time. Come enjoy it for the weekend or holidays and make memories to last a lifetime! Forget about a hotel room in crowded noisy Manhattan & bring your friends or family just 90 minutes upstate and make memories for such a deal (2 night minimum - holiday pricing differs) which includes 5 bedrooms ~ 5th Bedroom opens into a finished basement Children can be accommodated in many different ways (including single beds, sleeping bunk beds & aero beds.please read room descriptions to decide on sleeping arrangements) Bedrooms: 5 Bedrooms, Beds for @14-17 Bedroom 1: 1 king (area for air mattress on floor) Bedroom 2: 1 king, 2 twin/ single, 1 baby crib(pack&play) There is an extra aero bed in the closet as well Bedroom 3: 1 queen, 1 crib baby pack and play Bedroom 4: 1 queen Bedroom 5: 1 queen, 1 sofa , 2 bunk bed Bedroom into finished basement also great to bring down Aero bed there is a large sleep area Bathrooms: 3 Bathrooms, 1 Half Bathroom Bathroom 1: toilet, combination tub/shower, tub, jetted tub Bathroom 2: toilet, combination tub/shower, tub, jetted tub Bathroom 3: toilet, combination tub/shower, tub Bathroom 4: toilet, sink There is a rainbow play system on our property in our front yard. We are located on 10 acres of land with a large grass area for the kids to run & play in the front and side. Check in at 3pm-4pm and check out at 11:00am (email to pre-approve other time arrangements in advance if available for a small fee). PLEASE NOTE: There is NO smoking inside of the home & only small dogs under 20 pounds are permitted for a small fee. Please care for them in our home as you would in your own. We want your stay to be perfect - that includes arrival and departure times that best meet your needs. Our standard times are: 3-4 pm check-in and 11 am check-out. If we don't have other guests scheduled the same day we will do our best to accommodate your wishes. (We do have an option for late check out for people who want to use the property for the day but not add another evening. You can inquire with me & we will give you the rate) Near Hudson Valley wine trail & other wine trails, and the Hudson River. Kingston & New Paltz both a few minutes away, Short distance from the Headless Horseman Hayride. Close to the Walkway Over the Hudson, and 20 minutes from the train in Poughkeepsie, New York. Also within minutes of several restaurants run by graduates of the Culinary Institute of America. Some of our favorite family activities include going to Lake Minnewaska there is so much to do there. We are also 7 miles from MOHONK ( you can get a day pass in, have lunch or go in for massages it is an amazing place) Getting Around: Tons of walking & scenic mountain views. Bring up your bike if you love to ride there are great places to ride by the property. Bus - Adirondack Trailways has service from NY Port Authority to New Paltz/Ulster Park Area. The trip takes approximately 1.5 hours. WE recommend the train and maybe grab an Uber from the station Exit 18 on the New York Thruway (87) - Metro North - runs to Poughkeepsie. There is a shuttle bus called the Ulster Link from the train station to New Paltz/Ulster area. Taxis - There are several taxi services offering taxi rides in and around New Paltz/Ulster Park area. Also many Wine Bus services will come and take you on a tour Local Buses - There is some limited local bus service around town and between area towns. Attractions: Botanical Garden Churches Cinemas Festivals Health/Beauty Spa Marina Playground Recreation Center Restaurants Winery Tours Local Services & Businesses: ATM/Bank Fitness Center Groceries Hospital Laundromat Medical Services Leisure Activities: Antiquing Bird Watching Boating Horseback Riding Scenic Drives Shopping Sight Seeing Walking Wildlife Viewing Sports & Adventure Activities: Fishing Hiking Hunting Kayaking Mountain Biking Mountain Climbing Racquetball Roller Blading Swimming Community Pool: Within 5-7 miles # to the pool is 845-255-1700 there is a per diem to get in as it is a town pool Yard Activities: The Rainbow jungle gym has swings, slide & climbing area,Volleyball, basketball rim, Soccer. Kids (and adults) love building forts in the woods or playing baseball or tag in the front yard. Massive snow structures and creations can be built under the right conditions. - The edge of our property is a well-used animal trail. We see deer, wild turkeys, foxes, groundhogs, opossums, and muskrats. - Birders will enjoy the following: rose-breasted grosbeaks, pileated woodpeckers, yellow-shafted flickers, baltimore orioles, goldfinches, purple finches, blue birds, cardinals, house finches, house wrens, chickadees, red-bellied woodpeckers, downy and hairy woodpeckers, kingfishers, red-winged blackbirds and more. On a clear night we love taking a blanket out to the lounge chairs and watching the stars. Outdoors: Five and a half acres, including large lawns (front and back), tether ball, baseball diamond (of sorts), woods, pond, firepit and a collection of outdoor games. Walk, run, bike, or cross-county ski on the twenty-four mile Wallkill Valley Rail Trail just a short way away.
