Safe, cozy private room in our family home, featuring a double bed with Beautyrest luxury mattress, and ample closet. This room, in a beautiful, safe tree-lined neighborhood, is ideally suited for couples and solo female travelers. Our location can't be beat--walking distance to Crystal City, Pentagon, Amazon's HQ2 (National Landing), yellow and blue lines on the metro, Capital Bikeshare system, buses, restaurants, shopping, and more. Parking: Free parking on the street or in the driveway. The space Welcome to our family home! We hope you will treat it with the same care as you would treat your own. Your private room is located on the 2nd floor of the house (the same level as the family's bedrooms). To get to your room, go up the stairs, turn left, and it is the last door on the left. Your bathroom is at the top of the stairs. Your room has a brand-new Beautyrest luxury mattress and a large closet to store your bags. For your convenience, the room has city maps, a hair dryer, two umbrellas, extra blankets, iron and ironing board, and an oscillating fan (for those of you who like some white noise), as well as a window air conditioning unit (in summer), so you can control the temperature. Our listed price includes the 7.25% transient occupancy tax collected by Arlington County. Because this room is in our family home, for safety, we ask that ALL guests be fully vaccinated. Smokers, unfortunately your host is very "scent-sitive" to smells and has an adverse reaction to residual smoke smells on clothing and personal belongings. Please consider finding alternate accommodations. Parking: There is free street parking in front of the house. On weekends there are no restrictions. On weekdays, we can provide a parking pass on request. Please do not block neighbors' driveways. Guest access The private room and bathroom are all yours. Need a morning cup of coffee? The kitchen is available to help you start your day on the right foot. During your stay We have busy lives and tend to be in and out of the house quite a bit. That being said, we are always available electronically, so please don't hesitate to send us a quick message through Airbnb if there is something you need or if you have a question. Other things to note We have had many guests hoping to tour all of Washington, D.C. in a day or even in an afternoon. There are far too many sights in our wonderful city to see everything in such a short time. Consider adding an additional day to your itinerary. You won't regret it! We ask that only fully vaccinated guests book this room in our family home. Cat allergies? Not to worry, we are a cat-free home. We do occasionally dog sit our neighbor's friendly pooch, so if you are averse to a sweet pup being at the house, please let us know so we can make sure we are canine-free for your stay.
