Cottage in Hersey

This is a 3 bedroom, two full bathroom's cottage on the Muskegon River. Sprawling yard with a fire pit and a sandy bottom riverbed for swimming/tubing/kayaking/fishing. Two kitchens for entertaining up to 12 guests, as well as two living rooms. TV and streaming services, WIFI and games for inclement weather. Unpolluted skies for stargazing at night in remote Michigan. Work from home friendly! Nearby many trails including ORV - bring your toys! 10 miles to Big Rapids. The space Welcome to our cozy cottage getaway! Enjoy the sounds and sights of the Muskegon River and the bountiful wildlife that lives within it. Pull up a chair by the river or enjoy the view from the sun-soaked deck. In Hersey is a drop in point for you to kayak/canoe/tube down the river, and you can climb out into our backyard! Plenty of fish to be caught in the mighty Muskegon. Cozy firepit in the backyard ready to be gathered around for s'mores and storytelling. You'll feel right at home in our 3-bedroom ranch set up to sleep 12 comfortably. The house itself is a two-bedroom, one bath house with a "mother-in-law suite" built next to it, adjoined by a common entry. The suite has a small kitchen, living room, laundry, as well as full bath and bedroom (perfect for those who want their privacy from the rest of the group). Two futons and a trundle bed are available for sleeping, in addition to the four beds in the house. Four exits to the backyard from the house. Foosball table, retro arcade game, and plenty of board games for inclement weather, and outdoor toys for the sunshine. 10 miles to Big Rapids, 60 miles to Soaring Eagle Casino, 3 miles away from the White Pine trail. Bring your bicycles/ATV/UTV/Side by Side's and Motorcycles for the nearby trails! If golf is your game, there are 9 courses within 20 mi. Guest access We have parking for five cars along the driveway, as well as in front of our garage. We do have a neighbor with an easement into our driveway, but it is marked so you will be made aware. Other things to note The lot is narrow, so please be aware of the stakes that distinguish our property from our neighbors. Please be friendly and respect their privacy and space. Please note the main portion of the house has central air, in the "in-law suite" there is a window air conditioning unit. Please use ceiling and box fans to help circulate the air.
