Cornwall - secluded log cabin surrounded by nature
Description
Situated in Mid Cornwall, Birdsong Lodge is a traditional open plan log cabin, hidden away in a private location, surrounded by trees and shrub borders, creating a secluded ‘away from it all’ atmosphere. The cabin enjoys far reaching views across the surrounding countryside and the neighbouring fields provide a sanctuary for a herd of retired horses. Popular nearby attractions include The Eden Project, Boardmasters (Newquay) and The Lost Gardens of Heligan - all within a 30 minute drive away. The space Birdsong Lodge provides self-catering accommodation for 2 people which comprises a main living space with a kitchen/dining area and a separate bathroom. The main living space has a comfortable double bed, a sofa and a large flat screen TV with a ROKU device enabling access to Netflix, Disney etc (using your own accounts). In addition, there is a wardrobe, ottoman chest and bedside unit for storage. The kitchen/dining area has a range of units and provides a sink, gas cooker, kettle, microwave, toaster, fridge (with a small freezing compartment), a dining table and 2 chairs. There is also a range of cooking equipment and utensils for meal preparation. The bathroom has an electric shower, hand basin and toilet. Outside is a secluded patio area surrounded by a naturalising garden for the exclusive use of guests. Guest access Access to Birdsong Lodge is via a private lane with a free gravelled parking/turning area close to the cabin for exclusive use of guests. There is a neighbouring orchard which is not part of the holiday let grounds so we ask that you do not enter this area. The nearby stone barns have a level of antiquated beauty, but are somewhat dilapidated so we ask that you do not venture close to these buildings for your own safety. To the rear of the Cabin is a Wildlife Wetland area which contains very deep mud, it is fenced off and we request that you do not access this area. We ask that you do not enter the adjacent fields as there is a small herd of retired horses. We are happy for you to stroke and interact with them over the gate, but ask that you do not feed titbits, as this could potentially cause them to become aggressive towards each other. Other things to note Care should be taken when leaving the narrow lane from Birdsong Lodge, as the main lane leading to the farmhouse is in regular use by the owners and a neighbouring property. Also delivery and postal services often choose to reverse down the lane, so we would advise that you pay extra attention when exiting.
