Sanguinho is a small village, intended for nature tourism, located above the parish of Faial da Terra, on the southeast coast of the island of São Miguel.The houses made of lava stone, are modernized to the requirements of our day-by-day, without losing the historic charm.A quiet place, perfect to disconecct and meditation as well forfor star gazing, bird watching and walking.You can bathe in the icy waters of a waterfall on the ocean's moderate temperature waters, influenced by the Gulf Stream. The space Sanguinho is in the middle of densely forested mountain slopes which makes the air full of oxygen. In the middle of the village there is a fountain with fresh (alkaline) water that is very good for drinking. Apart from our own car, there are no cars coming to Sanguinho, there is no pollution. At night, you can see the night sky with millions of stars, the moon, planets and the milky way. The houses are surrounded by fruit trees, banana plantations, vegetable gardens and fields with traditional cereals, such as corn and linseed. All agriculture is certified by ECOCERT and you can buy the products in our "shop". You can sit back and relax in your privacy, you can attend events or stay in the main house where you have 'internet'. We offer transport in our 4x4 vehicle from the place where you can park your car, to the village. At announced times, we can take you shopping in the town or to the beach where you can take a dip in the sea. The village of Faial da Terra is a 10-minute walk away and offers a place to swim in the sea or pool, restaurant, cafe with pool table and supermarket. The county's main city (Povoação) is a 15-minute drive away and has everything you need. Furnas, with its thermal waters, is just 25 minutes away. We don't have wifi or internet in the houses. Only in the common area. Guest access You will have a fully equipped house with a vast garden. The "Mother House" with reception and cafeteria with Wi-Fi zone, the "Shop" where you can buy products from our agriculture, last minute things like toothpaste or a bottle of Azorean wine. You will also have a place to grill, an outdoor fireplace and extensive land surrounded by nature, where you can breathe fresh air and connect with nature. Other things to note We have a common area for guests that includes internet and a large common kitchen. Sometimes we do events :) We don't have wi-fi or internet in the houses, only in the common area. The second bedroom is a mezzanine floor, so it's important for the 3rd guest to go upstairs.
