The space The Third Heaven (Shehaqim) with its spacious, elegant and captivating bedroom, its lounge, private kitchen and available second bedroom is perfect for families or close friends to enjoy the comforts of home. The regal master suite beckons with an antique queen bed of mahogany and a soaring, carved headboard flanked by two heavy wrought iron sconces. Opposite is a stately carved antique desk and chair. Mahogany French doors are adorned by rich fabrics and a wrought iron center sconce. Step through them onto the individual balconies to take in the village and miles of scenic countryside below. Rumor has it that this is where the Bishop would quietly keep vigil over his subjects, with eyes that could look in opposite directions! The private kitchen offers a full sized cooktop, dishwasher, undercounter refrigerator-freezer, microwave, toaster and a deep sink all set against hand decorated tiles. Ample cabinets are stocked with essentials, cookware, dishes and utensils.The suite is completed with a stone tiled bath featuring a large open shower, stone sink and vintage commode. The Third Heaven’s second bedroom (optional) is furnished with a queen bed, marble topped nightstands and highboy chest. Shuttered doors, over a century old, open onto the balcony for a bird’s eye view of village life along the narrow cobbled streets. During the many celebrations and festivities you can view processions, strolling bands of musicians and even running of the bulls below. Other things to note This historic property is government protected for which an elevator was not possible. Please keep this in mind when choosing your floor and accommodation. Also, we are part of the very medieval wall surrounding Laguardia. We suggest you drop off luggage and guests before parking your car to avoid "the schlep".
