Description

A unique stay is waiting for you at The Art House on Adams, a newly renovated 100+year old home with five artsy apartments in the heart of Ogden's up and coming Nine Rails Creative District. Close to downtown! ~ 2 minute walk to The Monarch and Ogden Contemporary Arts ~ 5 minute walk to Historic 25th street restaurants, bars and shopping ~ 30-40 minutes to world class ski resorts Snow Basin and Powder Mountain ~ 5 minute drive to movie theater, gym, indoor surfing, skydiving and rock climbing! The space The Lapis Room, named for its calm blue colors, features artwork by your host Austyn Victoria and other local artists. The room is set up with a comfortable workspace and multiple sitting areas, as well as a queen-sized memory foam bed to host a maximum of 2 guests. Welcome the sunrise with the mountain view or draw the curtains and sleep in! Enjoy the fully equipped kitchen with gas cooktop to make a home-cooked meal. Easy self-check in with your own door code. Your hosts also live in the building if you need anything, including recommendations to our favorite activities and food in Ogden! The Nine Rails Creative District is the newest addition to Ogden's rich history. Check out The Monarch and Dumke Plaza on your walk down 25th street! The name Nine Rails pays tribute to Ogden’s history as a railroad town, originally a major connection point on the Transcontinental Railroad and later, during World War II, a hub for nine different rail lines. “You can’t get anywhere without coming to Ogden” was a city slogan for a decade or more. The Nine Rails name is also symbolic of the Nine Muses from Greek mythology, with each muse representing a different form of artistic expression. This home was built in 1896 and has seen many styles through the years! We think it was split into apartments a few decades ago, along with many historical homes in the area. After our 2021 renovation, some creaks and squeaks remain and you may occasionally hear other guests, Art House Residents or your hosts - we are all living life in close quarters so we ask all to please respect quiet hours of 10pm-7am :) Guest access There is plenty of street parking in front of the house. You will have access to the lobby and to your private apartment with an individualized code that we set up prior to your arrival. Other things to note Your hosts both work full time but we will respond to messages as soon as possible within our business hours of 9am-9pm! **As of Fall 2023, the neighboring house on the south side is undergoing renovation. There may be some construction noise during daytime work hours.** This is a non-smoking property. There is a strict no-drug policy. 2 guests maximum. The only sleeping arrangement listed is the queen sized bed. The compact sofa is not long enough to use as a sleep space. This apartment is on the second floor. There are two small sets of steps to get into the building and a carpeted staircase to get upstairs. There is no basic cable. There is a smart TV to log into any of your streaming services. The central heating system is controlled by your hosts and kept at a balanced level for the whole building. There are additional heaters, humidifiers and fans available for use. You'll find them in the lobby hutch, in addition to extra cleaning supplies and an iron/ironing board.
