The Sweet Retreat is just blocks from the Cape Fear River and historic Riverwalk, less than a mile from downtown Wilmington, where you’ll find shopping, restaurants, nightlife, and seasonal events. The neighborhood itself features unique shops, cafés, and creative spaces, and has been the backdrop for numerous movies and television productions filmed right on Castle Street. Location is a major highlight. You’ll be less than 5 miles from UNC Wilmington. Beaches are close by! Quick easy drive! The space The space is designed to make you feel relaxed and at home. Easy check-in & check-out. Sweet Retreat offers you an open floor plan as you walk in. Smart televisions, games, DVDs, many kitchen amenities, and a cute front porch for guests to enjoy. The Sweet Retreat can be used for bridal parties and accommodates well for getting ready for special days. We are close to downtown, the beach, amphitheaters and colleges. Guest access Parking is offered on the street, most often directly in front! Located close to downtown, just a few blocks away. Other things to note -Parking is free, street parking most often directly in front. -Entry to home is by secured keypad. Guests receive their private code day of check-in. -Walking distance, 1 block to coffee shop/bakery, cafe and wine shop. -Remote work? The dining table serves perfectly for this, with plugs near to charge laptop. Or 2nd room offers desk/chair -The full kitchen is stocked with the essentials. There is coffee in the refrigerator, and in the coffee bar is creamer/sugar, tea hot chocolate and cookies. -1 Smart TVs in living room. All bedrooms have tv’s with Amazon stick or Roku box. -Ample closet space in each bedroom in master and 2nd bedroom. -Luggage racks provided in each bedroom. -Washer/Dryer combo in hall closet. Feel free to use laundry soap/dryer sheets. -Master bedroom, queen bed -2nd bedroom, full bed -3rd room, trundle bed with 2 twin mattresses perfect for the kiddos. Also queen size air mattress/linens can be moved out to living room area if needed. -All bedrooms equipped with memory mattresses. Full mattress protector on each bed. -2 full bathrooms, with shampoo & conditioner -Air purifiers in 2 of the bedrooms -Ceiling fans and floor fans in all bedrooms We currently do not have a security deposit. You can help us keep it this way by respecting our home and following basic rules. -We request guests are at least 21 yrs old. If younger you may send an inquiry to book. From there you may tell us your story. -No parties, no events, no loud music past 11 p.m. -NO pets - we are an allergy free home. You will be asked to leave with no refund if you attempt to sneak a pet in. -No drugs, no smoking, or vaping inside the home. -All adult guests staying (max 4, and 2 children) must be on the reservation. Our home can sleep 6 adults, but please note adults sleeping on trundle bed, it will be cozy! -The ring security system is exterior only to authenticate your identity to match the reservation. -Fenced in backyard -Grill -Sandbox for the kiddos
