Chez Federico et Pierre: the trapper's refuge

Small house with a large hanging relaxation net, perched among the trees in a quiet setting. First human presence (we!) 200m away: you will be alone in the middle of the woods. The 300-meter walk includes a steep section and a section on a trail. Coffee and tea are available. We offer homemade meals. Bedding provided, towels not provided. Communication via Airbnb, because the phone does not pick up well from us (in the cabin it's good). Le Refuge du Trappeur offers you even more thanks to its many hikes accessible on foot from the cabin, and the nearby Tarn Valley for visiting great places and having fun. The Tarn and Aveyron are within easy reach. Equipped with your backpack, the refuge is within walking distance, 300 meters along a slightly steep hiking trail. Upon arrival, you will discover a small, comfortable, and well-appointed cabin. The cabin is located in a fenced park of two hectares with our animals (goats) present. The bench on the covered terrace allows you to enjoy the setting, which is completely immersed in the forest, unless you prefer more immersion by relaxing in the hammock perched in the trees to take a nap, gaze at the stars, read or listen to the birds. You can eat at the hanging table outside if you like or have an aperitif around the landscaped pond. The house is not connected to running water, but a tap is available upstream, along the path. We have already filled the food-grade container with 10 liters of fresh drinking water for you, enough for the first night. You have jerry cans at your disposal to bring more water at your convenience. You can cook using the gas hob and the kitchenette. The dishes, pots, basic condiments, coffee and tea provided will help you with your meals. We also prepare meals that you can order from us in advance, and we bring them directly to the cabin. In the shower room, you will find a dry toilet and a shower tray with a camping shower head. Hot water can be heated using the gas hob or, in summer, by placing the shower tank in the sun. Remember to bring your towels. Equipped with battery-powered lamps, you can spend your evenings with light to read or reread Perrault's fabulous tales. An external battery with a USB port allows you to recharge the lamps and your mobile phones. For a good night's sleep, the 140x190 cm hanging bed with duvets and cushions will be ready for you. Surrounded by windows, the night's spectacle will be yours to enjoy, unless you prefer to create a cozy space by closing the curtains. For the coolest evenings, a wood-burning stove is available for you to light a good fire. The isolated house will quickly warm up.
