This home is a rustic experience, and one of the few remaining areas of the “wild west”, sitting minutes from the Navajo Indian reservation, a short drive from Bears ears National monument, and a 1 hour drive to arches National park, 45 minutes to canyon lands National park, as well as the hundreds of preserved ancient Anasazi ruins peppering the area, some dating back as 1800 years ago! Many many recreating trails for mountain biking, side by side riding, single track motorcycles, and some of the most unique vistas and mesas in the west. The property is just outside of Blanding Utahs city limits. About a 5 minutes drive, or a 15 minutes walk to the local grocery store, gas stations, and local shops. Looking out over farm fields, you may hear or smell all manner of farm animals. As well as the possibility of wild coyotes, yipping prairie dogs, and friendly skunks. You may even be lucky enough for the local ducks to greet you in the morning, as they like to sleep on the covered porch. A car or motorized transportation will be best for this property. As we are not in city limits, but just outside of them. Still close enough to pop in for a burger and pop, but far enough away to enjoy the glow of the milky way at night. The property has been lovingly restored while still maintaining its old time charm. The house does have a wood burning stove as a heater (wood and all supplies provided by your host), but electric heaters are also provided throughout the home. This homestead has its own well and all water in the home is from that very large well surrounded by rich soil, making every shower healing and all drinking water completely untouched by chemicals.
