The space Echoes of Eden River Retreat is a beautifully-decorated, luxury safari tent with a spacious slate verandah overlooking the Malewa River valley. The sunken bath tub is perfectly situated for the best views across the valley while ensuring your complete privacy. Enjoy a steaming hot bath under the stars. During the sunny hours, fill the tub with cool water for a private plunge pool and enjoy sunbathing on the reclining Adirondack-style chairs. Luxurious bathrobes, towels and a yoga mat are provided. Watch the sunset around a small fire in the fire pit provided which can also double as a grill. Take a short walk to the riverfront to enjoy collecting stones or dipping in the cool, flowing waters. A hot shower and flushing toilet is also available inside the tent in a separate area that can be partitioned off with zipped 'doors'. Echoes of Eden River Retreat is one of two luxury tents located near each other. PETS We have several dogs on the property who are under the supervision of our staff at all times. KITCHENETTE The kitchenette is equipped with a medium size fridge to keep cooked food and drinks cold. The freezer provides enough space to make ice or keep food frozen. You can heat up pre-prepared food in the microwave or cook on the charcoal grill on the verandah. There is no oven or stove for cooking in the tent. If needed, you can have access to another kitchen located about 100 meters away. HIRE A COOK We can arrange a cook for $15 per day who will prepare meals for you using the food and menu you provide. It is necessary to book the cook at least 48 hrs in advance. SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS The beds can be arranged as two twins or a luxurious King size with high quality bedding and warm duvets. Just let us know your preference ahead of time. There is a parking space dedicated specifically for the River Retreat tent. Guest access You will be free to enjoy the entire property as well as surrounding forest. Let us know if you want to go on a hike or down to the river and we will ensure someone is available to show you the way around. Please let us know ahead of time if you would like to add this to your stay. **SPECIAL CELEBRATIONS Rose Decoration Package: Are you celebrating a special occasion? Ask about our special champaign offer. **ECHOES OF EDEN MEDITATION EXPERIENCE: Join Miriam for 2 hours of body-soul connection. Choose from activities like guided meditations, a short listening pilgrimage across stunning landscapes, one-on-one personal spiritual coaching, or mindful tree planting to heal the earth. $60 for 2 hours, $20 per hour thereafter. Ask Miriam about full retreat packages. **HIKING/BIRDWATCHING: Enjoy rugged walking trails at no cost. If you'd prefer a guided hike, a local guide is available for $5/hour. BICYCLE RENTAL: Ride alongside zebras and gazelles nearby for $15/bike/day.
