The McClure Hauler - A Camper in the Woods

Enjoy waking up to the sounds and scenery of nature when you stay in this unique race car hauler, and get away from the hustle and bustle. Located on the breathtaking scenic Elk Loop byway, this year-round camper is perfect for those who are looking for something different than just glamping at an RV park. You'll have your own parking spaces and plenty of room to spread out, play fetch with your dog, or BBQ outback. The space This is a fairly standard RV Toy Hauler Camper, though it happens to also be a retired race car garage. If you're unfamiliar with RVs like this, set your expectations to tent camping and you'll be thoroughly impressed! You'll have a full kitchen, a decent-sized fridge, and a shower with hot water. The beds are comfy but probably not what you have at home. The couches fold out into beds, the table can go anywhere, and we have two additional cots if it's necessary. Guest access You're in the middle of nowhere, Colorado. At the same time, you're within an hour of Aspen, 40 minutes from Glenwood Springs hot springs, and under 30 minutes from Carbondale's theater and shopping. 10 minutes away from Redstone, and down the street from 2 hot springs, Avalanche Ranch, and Penny hot springs, which is free. Any outdoor activity you're looking for, we can help you find! ATV/Snowmobile rentals are available directly from us, horseback riding, fly fishing, hiking, or just barbequing and relaxing! You're welcome to explore the surrounding Countryside, wonderful Mountain vistas, and Crystal river flowing a couple of hundred feet away. Other things to note Please be aware this is a camper in the woods, a really nice and well-appointed one, but still a camper in the woods. There isn't any cell phone reception here, or cable TV, no Netflix, no Dish, just a remote for the DVD player and lots of movies. There are no landlines in the camper. If you need to make a call, we suggest WiFi calling on your smartphone. If you need any help getting it to work, just come ask. We'll be glad to assist you. Additionally, we have plenty of board games and movies, so you can stay entertained no matter the weather.
