Private entry, space into basement unit and private bathroom. Near fabulous restaurants/ bars. About 15-min. walk to Metro green line. Note: While suite is private and closed to main home, home has 2 cats—a consideration for those with allergies. Also, it’s an old, connected home with original floors, and thus not soundproof. The space Private basement space in 1900s rowhouse. Separate front entry, down a small set of stairs into basement. Door opens into large “studio” type space, complete with desk, couch, bed, washer/dryer, mini fridge with freezer, microwave, Keurig, and electric water kettle (but no kitchen). Suite includes a full, private bathroom with shower/tub combo. Bedding is a cotton blend, and comforter is synthetic material—no down. Mattress is new and really comfortable. There is a closet with a suitcase stand and shelving. A dresser and separate bar for hanging clothes are also available. Linens and 1 towel set per guest are included. Note, the blinds on the doors are not full light blocking. This room will not be totally dark as a result. Also, this space is in an old house with original floors and connected to similar type homes, so it is not sound proof to noises above or from the neighbors. Guest access Private entry into private space from front, basement door. Private rear entry too. Backyard is available for guest; camping chair included in the closet. Note, this space also includes the host’s parking space. The interior staircase leads to the main space, but this door is locked to keep your space private. Other things to note I hope I have provided you with a comfortable space for your stay. Some of the window coverings are not fully light blocking. Please keep in mind if you need a dark sleeping space or eye mask. Main home has cats, a consideration for those with pet allergies (and also, because I don’t know how much you can hear the main house from the basement.) It’s an old house, with original floors. Therefore, your suite will not be soundproofed from above noises, or even adjoining houses’ noises. If you are a light sleeper, please consider bringing ear plugs, or if this space is right for you.
