The Cattlemans at Avalon dates back to the Beveridges Cattle Co-Op in the 1930's when the high country cattlemen would bunker down for the snowy winters and graze cattle on the green valley pastures. A cosy bungalow with a private courtyard, it is in the centre of town walking distance to Cafes, Parks, Rivers, Pubs and all Harrietville has to offer. The space Avalon House was built back in the gold rush and is one of the original old Harrietville homes. With 4 private courtyard apartments is great for couples or large groups. Set on a couple of river front acres in the heart of town. Central to all the village amenities it is great for family gatherings or quiet retreats. Guest access Avalon House is set on the Ovens River with common garden areas including BBQ's, Fire Pits and Swimming Holes. Video and board games can be arranged by a small bond. Sorry we are no longer able to provide bicycles due to insurance issues. Other things to note This unit is not pet friendly. Other units are available.
