The Owl House

NOTE: THIS IS NOT A CAMPER! AirBnB auto-categorizes The Owl House as "RV/Trailer, camping"--but this is a comfy full home year around... Warm radiant floors and AC for summer. Lovely tiled walk in shower, washer dryer right in the place--very nice full home. The Owl House is a unique get-away set in mature woods ... ideal for writer's retreat, couples' get-away. Pricing is for 2 people--can take up to 5 with a hide queen and air twin. Lovely area--quiet, wildlife, relaxing space--no TV. The space Unique bedroom is refurbished 1963 Shasta camper with king sized bed and sitting area. Large living area has warm floors, full kitchen, and gas fireplace. Full bath with walk-in shower. Washer/dryer. Screened porch is a favorite hang out space for relaxing and viewing wildlife. For extra guests there is a roll out queen and possible blow up twin. This makes it possible to have 5 people. Guest access Owl House is self-contained. Guest has access to the whole home, outdoor fire pits, gas grill sitting and swinging spaces. On a 20 acre property and state park is nearby for hiking and kayaking. Grill out right near this home. We are a natural haven. This is nature at its finest--so if bugs or snakes or night noises (owls and coyotes) freak you out, this might not be your best stay. Other things to note Plenty of parking. Near state and county parks 20 minutes away for hiking, fishing, and boating. "Dark sky" is an every night occurrence here. It's best to plan ahead and bring food with you since close by shopping is limited --supermarkets are a 20 minutes drive....but if you are short something, we are nearby and also a Casey's and DG 2 miles away. Owl House has coffee/tea, water from a reverse osmosis filter, and full kitchen with cooking utensils, dishes, etc. Note that it is possible to reserve for up to 5 guests--see the listing for fees. Extra beds are a roll out queen and an air mattress twin.
