Sandy Mountain Retreat | Hot Tub & Ski Access

Sandy Mountain Retreat is a cozy, private basement apartment suite in a quiet Sandy neighborhood. Just 20 minutes from Snowbird and Alta and 30 minutes from Brighton and Solitude, it’s a perfect home base for ski trips, family stays, and time spent visiting the area. Mountain views from the hot tub, a quiet setting, a spacious three-bedroom layout, and a fully stocked kitchen make it a home away from home after full days skiing or exploring. The space The spacious basement-level apartment includes a full kitchen, in-unit laundry, a large family room, comfortable beds, and two dedicated parking spaces for convenient access. After time outdoors, many guests use the hot tub in the evenings. The neighborhood is quiet and walkable, with tree-lined streets, larger lots, and horse properties nearby, and an 11-mile trail system starts about two blocks away for walks or runs. The living area is set up for downtime, with easy streaming via a Roku stick and a PlayStation that includes access to a large game library through PlayStation Plus. For remote work, a desktop monitor is available on request, and I’m happy to help with reasonable requests when possible. I'm the owner and live alone upstairs which is completely separate and private from the basement suite. During the summer you may see me outside doing yard work or shoveling the snow in the winter. I'm very friendly so if you do see me, feel free to say hi, but I also don't get offended if guests prefer not to. I just want to make sure you have a great stay and know you are welcome. Guest access Guests have exclusive access to the entire apartment through a private entrance, along with two dedicated driveway parking spaces for easy arrival and departure. The backyard is available for your use when landscaping isn’t scheduled... a peaceful spot to enjoy morning coffee, relax after a day adventuring, or stargaze at night. The hot tub is prepared by request with advance notice so it’s perfectly clean, balanced, and ready for you to enjoy from the moment you arrive. Other things to note Hi, I’m Justin your host and the owner of Sandy Mountain Retreat. I take pride in creating a space that’s clean, welcoming, and well prepared for every guest. My goal is for you to feel completely at ease from the moment you arrive. Early check-in or late check-out (up to two hours) is often possible for a $50 fee with advance approval. Per city ordinance, parking is limited to two vehicles in the driveway; street parking isn’t permitted. If you need to arrange parking for additional cars, please contact me before booking.
