The house is 20 minutes from downtown Louisville and 30 minutes from the airport. Where else can you be 20 minutes from downtown Louisville, Churchill Downs, Bourbon trail, Airport, fabulous dining. Waking up to hear the sounds of the river. Return home from a day/night of the benefits of a large city to the serenity of peacefulness. Watch boats pass by. During the summers you can enjoy sitting on one of the deck's, cooking dinner, watching the birds & wildlife (even the occasional bald eagle), and enjoying the sunsets. Fall is stunning with it's crystal clear skies, warm days and cool nights. Winter is beautiful with frost on the shore line and bare trees on the 12 mile island. It's serene and quite, except for the fog horns of the river boats on foggy nights which is really special. The Spring is green as can be, with birds returning, and the river coming alive again. Hard to pick the best time as every day out here is different!
