The space Suite 208 "TheSTORYTELLER" - Located in 'The505 Eugene', a NEW 8 suite Hotel/BnB on 5th & Willamette St, on the upper floor of an iconic 1910 brick building that was thoughtfully renovated & re-imagined. The interiors reflect the uniqueness of Eugene & the downtown Market District neighborhood in an artistic focused, creative style. PARKING: We have free dedicated parking across the street & first come first serve 'overnight only' parking behind our building. Paid parking nearby also. -> We want you to "Choose Your Own Adventure" & you've chosen well. Each is a uniquely crafted short term residential space to spark your imagination or offer a space to recharge. -> The building is 100% secure and has a private resident only access that leads up the interior stairs to the 8 apartment suites. Most of the unit is brand new and some has been salvaged and re-purposed like the steel kitchen cabinet/sink. New ductless AC/Heat unit for the ultimate comfort, LED lighting, brand new appliances and all new decor, etc. -> This suite sits on the South end of the building so it offers natural light from both the South and the east looking out towards Skinners Butte. White painted walls contrast the all black pegboard accent walls. Full of organic eclectic and modern touches, thoughtfully curated to inspire and relax. The BluDot sofa bed is good for streaming movies, a daytime nap or sleeping 2 on the Queen bed that folds out for the secondary sleeping space. The window blinds are blackout if you wanna sleep in. -> Fully stocked kitchen w/everything needed for cooking a meal. New Fridge, oven/range, microwave, disposal (no dishwasher in this suite) There is a Keurig w/an assortment of K-Cup flavors, an electric water kettle, blender & toaster provided. -> Private bedroom features a comfy Helix brand mattress and Brooklinen Luxury Linens and blackout blinds on both windows. There is a small closet w/luggage rack, closet bar and hangers provided. -> Bathroom in the bedroom has a step in shower (w/a quite narrow 13" opening to get in...it's a tight space) Bathroom is stocked w/Public Goods soaps, shampoo and conditioner and Brooklinen brand plush towels. As well as a hair dryer and makeup wipes. -> This brand new suite is located in the proximity of a number of Eugene's top restaurants and attractions such as the 5th Street Market, Marche, Carlita's, Nike, the River Trails, Top Golf arcade and is just a short trip by bike, foot or car to the University of Oregon, Oakway and steps from downtown. Located in the heart of downtown Eugene's "5th St Market District" where you will have no problems finding our local, top rated restaurants just minutes (or even steps) away! Go see a performance at the Hult Center a block away, or a concert at Matthew Knight Arena, or the Mcdonald Theater. Catch a football game at Autzen Stadium, float the river, or shopping and dining at Oakway Center...all within a 2 mile radius of this space. Feel like exploring outside of downtown? Great! You'll find it's an easy drive or Uber/Lyft nearly anywhere you need to get in the Eugene/Springfield area with our central location. Your suite is equipped with a 58" Samsung HD Smart TV w/built in streaming, which allows guests to access their own streaming accounts such as Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, Disney+, etc. Your suite does not have cable service but the streaming device does provide 100+ free TV Channels to enjoy. **Distance to 3 local Hospitals: - 1 Mile - Peace Health Sacred Heart Medical Center - Campus/Downtown - 5.3 Miles - River Bend - Peace Health Sacred Heart Medical Center - 5.2 Miles - McKenzie Willamette Medical Center - Springfield While everything inside and out, underwent a 2+ year renovation, there are of course original elements from the character of the 1910 building. Such as some of the original floor framing and of course many of the brick and structural walls. We love the character this gives the building, and want you to know that some of the floors are not perfectly even, and in this particular unit the floor slopes noticeably towards the South. Everything has been done to create a space where it won't affect your stay. There is a potential for a squeak here and there and we appreciate your understanding in advance of booking. Guest access The entire suite is yours. There are no common areas that are shared outside of the main entry hallway corridor. Your apartment suite door is accessed off the secured common hallway just like a hotel would. Other things to note This unit has been remodeled but the Floors are NOT level. They are structurally safe & the remodel was permitted & engineered, but they are sloped downwards to the South. Counters have been leveled, sleeping won't be affected and this is the only unit of the 8 suites at the505 which has these conditions. There will not be refunds for floors being crooked. It is described in detail in the listing. Also, the shower door has an existing opening that is quite tight to get into also. It's approx 13". Just an FYI. It is a phenomenal place to stay and we're confident you will be thrilled with the experience.
