This 950 square foot cottage has been curated for the ultimate guest experience- with a fully stocked kitchen, efficient (new!) ac/heating, wood burning stove, private patio with hot tub, laundry, alley access, terraced deck and front flower garden- all a block and a half from Main Street in Julian! The space Located in the heart of Julian, yet tucked away in the privacy of its own garden, Briar Patch Cottage offers seclusion within close walking distance to shops and eateries. Equipped with a spacious farmhouse kitchen and ample dining area, a generously sized TV and hot tub, this cottage is designed with both real living and luxury in mind. Enjoy the bucolic charm of rustic beams and glittering chandeliers in this cozy yet spacious, vintage but modern, exclusive cottage in the very center of the township of Julian. Guest access You'll have the whole house and property to yourself! Other things to note This property is accessible from the street by stairs, and from the rear via drive up alley access. Guests MUST be comfortable climbing stairs, as the front door is accessed via a flight of porch stairs. Like most of Julian, the property is situated on a bit of a slope, which may be unsuitable for those with unsteady feet. Regrettably, due to the nature and position of the property, the cottage is not wheelchair accessible. Free street parking is available at the front of property, with exclusive alley parking on weekends (because we know weekends can get busy and parking can get competitive). Please note: during business days, alley *must* remain clear to accommodate municipal service thoroughfare. Brief periods of loading and unloading is ok during this time. ❄️*WINTER WEATHER TRAVEL- SNOW CHAINS!*❄️ For reservations between NOV through APR, please ensure your vehicle carries snow chains in the event that your reservation dates coincide with a winter storm event (it’s helpful to keep an eye on the weather forecast in advance of your trip as well). During active snowfall, chains are required to traverse snowy mountain roads safely, and traffic officials will not allow passage to those without them, so please prepare accordingly! PETS POLICY: Pets are not allowed. Thank you for your understanding! HOT TUB POLICY: HOT TUB is in service year-round. We do our utmost to ensure the hot tub is in good working order for every stay; however, in the *unexpected* event that the hot tub is not functioning for a stay, we offer a 20% nightly rate discount (after other discounts are taken into account) for each night that the hot tub is not functioning. A NOTE ABOUT THE MOUNTAINS & WILDLIFE: Julian is a rural community in the mountains where wildlife abounds. While do our *absolute best* to keep the pests at bay at the cottage, please keep in mind that critters and insects come with the territory here.
