Slow down, reconnect with nature, and the rhythm of island life The space A petite open-plan villa designed for simplicity and comfort, featuring a kitchen, indoor living space, work area, a cosy bedroom, and an open-air bathroom. The veranda offers a dining space, a coffee corner, and a daybed for slow mornings or sunset lounging. Spread out on rugs beneath the shade of the palms, or soak up the sun on the lawn. The plunge pool is a small natural spring, perfect for a refreshing dip, relaxing on the rocks, or showering under the spring water. (Water level and clarity vary with rainfall.) Step out onto the deck over the paddy fields for wildlife spotting and enjoy the rhythm of nature. Our working garden grows organic fruits, vegetables, and medicinal herbs used in our kitchen and self care products. Punchi Doowa is for animal and nature lovers, we share our island with wildlife, so expect the occasional friendly visitor. Guest access Feel free to roam the garden but the staff area is private. Other things to note During your stay, you’ll be living among the island’s wildlife. Birds, small animals, and the occasional reptile visit the garden — and may pop inside too! We are close to the village so from time to time, guests may hear sounds from nearby temples, village celebrations, music or community events — all part of the authentic atmosphere of the area.
