VACATION GETAWAY IN BROOKVILLE, INDIANA We are located on the beautiful Whitewater River just one mile from the charming town of Brookville. Get away from it all and relax by the river! Kayaking, canoeing, fishing, swimming, exploring, barbequing, or just relaxing. This is the perfect getaway! The space Hi! We want to invite you to our very private Whitewater River House, just outside of the town of Brookville. We absolutely love this place and want you to love it too. Enjoy the river, enjoy the lake, enjoy small town living! The Whitewater River House consists of two fully furnished and air-conditioned living spaces, each with a fully equipped kitchen that includes a stove, microwave, refrigerator, coffeemaker and dining table with four chairs. The living rooms feature TVs and DVD players. Each unit is equipped with two bedrooms, one containing a queen bed and the other a single. In addition, each unit has a sofa bed fold that folds out as a queen sleeper. Thus, when you book under this listing, your accommodations will include two kitchens, four beds in four bedrooms, and two sofa sleepers. Please note that the units are attached (duplex), but have separate entrances; there is no interior connection between the units. Brookville Lake is 3 miles away, with boating, beaches, and camping. Mounds and Whitewater State Parks are less than 15 minutes away, while a day of skiing at Perfect North Slopes is just a 30-minute drive. In addition, three golf courses can be found within 12 miles of us. If exploring small town life is more your thing, the historic towns of Metamora, IN (Whitewater Canal historic site) Oldenburg, IN and Oxford OH (Miami University) are all within a 30-minute drive. Guest access Guests have both rental units for their exclusive use. They also have access to the fire pits, sheltered barbecue area, chairs, picnic tables, seasonal beach, and horseshoe pits. Corn hole, volleyball, and croquet equipment is also available at the picnic shelter. Ample boat parking is available, as well. Other things to note What to bring? Depending on the time of year, you might want to bring- - beach towels for the river or lake (please don't use the white bath towels for this) -beach/camp chairs to sit on the beach or in the river - fishing gear, float tubes, kayaks, etc -firewood, if planning more than one fire -charcoal, if using the charcoal grill - sunscreen, bug spray, first aid items - pillows or other personal items, if you tend to prefer them over basic guest amenties - we are boat friendly!
