Description
Charming first floor apartment in a traditional Tuscan farmhouse, accessed by external stone staircase. Relax by the pool or wander through 2 hectares of olive groves, orchards, and woodland. Take a short stroll to the Etruscan hill town of Lari, where you can enjoy a pastry in the piazza, visit the castle, or explore the Martelli pasta factory. In the evening, treat yourself to an aperitivo or dine at one of the local restaurants serving authentic Tuscan cuisine. We look forward to seeing you. The space Our traditional Tuscan apartment has its own private entrance and features a spacious, light-filled living area with a well-equipped kitchen (including an induction hob and fridge/freezer), high beamed ceilings, and a cheerful bathroom with a walk-in shower. There are two double bedrooms, each with a comfortable king-size bed. Outside, you’ll find a swimming pool with sun loungers, and an outdoor kitchen, pizza oven, BBQ, and dining area — perfect for relaxed evenings. The property is surrounded by our own woodland, orchards, and olive groves, offering peace and privacy in a truly authentic setting. Guest access We may occasionally tend to the garden, but as your hosts we keep a low profile — you’ll barely know we’re there. The rest of the grounds, including the pool, BBQ area and outdoor kitchen, orchard, and olive groves, are yours alone to enjoy. Other things to note Lari is one of Tuscany’s hidden gems — a medieval hilltop town of Etruscan origin, enclosed by ancient walls and crowned by a castle. It’s famous for its cherries and, each May, hosts Tuscany’s oldest food festival. Visitors can taste over 20 varieties of cherry and sample local liqueurs and traditional sweets. Set in the Valdera region, Lari is surrounded by gently rolling hills, cypress-lined lanes, and vineyards producing excellent Sangiovese and Vermentino wines. Enjoy a tasting at La Spinetta Casanova, Podere La Chiesa, or our personal favourite, Azienda Agricola Castelvecchio. This is also a land of generous platters of Tuscan cheeses and salumi, perfect for slow lunches and relaxed aperitivi. Nearby, visit Volterra — famed for its alabaster — or San Gimignano, known for its medieval towers. The landscape here is everything you imagine Tuscany to be: golden light, terracotta rooftops, and views that stretch for miles.
