Set on 100 ft of private lakefront, this cozy yet spacious cottage is perfect for couples, families, or friends looking to unwind in nature — whether you're swimming and paddling in summer, enjoying fall colours, or warming up in the sauna after a snowy day. Pricing includes HST. 2.5 hrs from GTA on Long / Miskwabi Lake The space Just 10 minutes from Haliburton, this peaceful, tree-lined property offers the perfect mix of seclusion and convenience. The fully equipped kitchen includes everything you need to cook, plus coffee, tea, and basic condiments. We provide linens, bath towels, and firewood — so you can pack light and relax. The open-concept living and dining area features floor-to-ceiling windows with beautiful lake views. The cottage is designed for year-round comfort with a modern furnace, a cozy fireplace/woodstove, and central air conditioning (May–Sept). The cottage has three comfortable bedrooms: Upstairs king primary with workspace and 2-piece ensuite Upstairs bedroom with queen bed and lake views Main floor bedroom with queen bed for easy access A full bathroom with shower is located on the main floor. WiFi is reliable, cell service is strong, and a Chromecast speaker is available for music. Enjoy the Weber BBQ, relax in the six-person sauna, or unwind on the screened-in porch with a sectional sofa and dining table — perfect for bug-free meals or rainy days. This is an ideal spot for couples, families, or friends looking for a quiet lakeside retreat. A bonfire area is available (please check local fire restrictions). SPRING & SUMMER The dock is typically in by early May, with access to a canoe and two kayaks. The water is clear and calm, great for swimming, paddling, and fishing right from the dock. Lifejackets are provided (we recommend bringing your own for best fit). FALL Enjoy vibrant fall colours in a quieter setting, whether from the dock, screened porch, or nearby trails. Water levels will be lower as the lake is dam-controlled. WINTER A peaceful winter setting with snowy lake views and cozy fires. The driveway is plowed, flat, and easily accessible (winter tires and AWD recommended). Access to the lake, sauna, and firepit may be more difficult after heavy snowfall. Close to local hiking and mountain biking trails. Other things to note Our stairs to the lake are rustic (earth and wood). It's not a steep climb but could be a slow-going if you have mobility concerns. Indoor of cottage not suitable for infants, we have open tread staircase to second floor and a woodstove. Due to our rural location, our guests are required to take their own garbage at the end of stay. We provide landfill passes & locations of local landfill stations. During winter months the stairs down to the lake maybe difficult to navigate in heavy snowfall.
