The Eyrie

Eyrie-The nest of an eagle, typically built high on a cliff or peak; a human dwelling in a similar place. Come spend some time at your own private eyrie, perched 2100 feet up on Roundtop Mountain you will never grow tired of the views. Wake up each morning and enjoy the view from the private upstairs master bedroom porch. A bedroom and bathroom on all 3 levels provides plenty of privacy. PETS CONSIDERED: We would love to consider your well behaved small dog (under 50 lbs) accompanying you during your stay. Please include your pet information (Breed/size) in your booking request. Also please make sure you add the $100 non refundable pet fee to your reservation request. You MUST notify us of the breed and size of your pet in advance to comply with our house rules. Our invitation to your dog is not an invitation to allow him on our furniture or beds. If this is not followed we may charge you an additional cleaning fee. The upper level features a master bedroom with a king size bed, large private bath with jetted garden tub, and a private porch. The main level bedroom has a queen size bed, French doors opening onto the main deck, and is just across the hall from a full bath with laundry area. Downstairs there is a bedroom with a full size bed right beside the bathroom with a walk in shower. The basement gaming area has a pool table, a new 55 inch HDTV, DISH DVR, DVD player, board games, and two futons for the kids. A rock fireplace with gas logs (available October 1-March 31) in the great room has a new 50 in HDTV with DISH DVR and DVD above the mantel. French doors open on the main deck. Enjoy the newly renovated spacious kitchen with new stainless appliances and granite counter tops. The dining area features a table for 6 and additional seating the bar. Outside on the main deck there is a 4 person hot tub, a new Blackstone griddle, and lots of seating to enjoy the view. Downstairs there is an outdoor fire pit that is just steps from the game room through a set of French doors. Our cabin is 12 miles from downtown Blue Ridge, 9 miles from McCaysville GA/Copper Hill, TN, and 20 miles from Murphy, NC. 10-12 miles to Lake Blue Ridge Marina and Lake Blue Ridge Outfitters and less than 15 miles to white water rafting outposts in Ducktown, TN. We recommend Raft One for all of your Ocoee River adventure needs: whitewater rafting, canopy zip-lining tours, and mountain biking. Search online for Raft1 to find their website. The driveway to our cabin is steep (30° incline) but it is paved. 4 wheel drive is not required.
