Kick back on two decks, roast s’mores by the fire pit, or battle it out with board games in the airy loft. Sleeps 6, fenced yard for pups, and just one mile up the road from the legendary saloon. Stock up with groceries before you climb the mountain—this is rustic, unpluggin' fun, not city slicker comfort. The space This unique cabin offers an incredible place for families or groups of friends looking to getaway to the mountains. The first floor offers: - Full kitchen with complete cooking amenities - Dining area - smaller living area, smart TV and blankets galore - 2 bedrooms - Fully covererd front/back deck with small dining table. - Fully fenced in back yard with deck including BBQ, wood fire pit, lounging chairs, and horseshoes. - Primary bedroom with views that make you want to say in bed, along with cozy guest room and bathroom with shower. A short flight of stairs takes you to the second floor where you have: -Third bedroom and half bathroom. - Dedicated work space. - Large L-shaped, never-getting up couch. - Wrap-around windows - DVD player and second large TV for the grainy classics you cannot stream. We call this the old school room. - Board games, books and mores Guest access Guests will have access to the entire property, which includes a roundabout driveway, front and back patios, a fenced backyard. Other things to note Other Things to Note: Crown King is truly one of a kind—half ghost town, half hidden gem, and all adventure. The nearest grocery store is the Walmart off Anthem Way, so bring your supplies. Restaurants in town are charming but seasonal—think “if it’s open, great; if not, hope you packed snacks.” Disclaimer: Snow and rain can make outdoor (and sometimes indoor) surfaces slippery. We’ve taken every reasonable precaution, but by staying here you agree it’s at your own risk. Weather: Like in the Valley, July and August are the hottest months in CK (high in upper 80s and lows in upper 70s); Since there is no A/C, the cabin can warm up. Fall and Spring is prime book- in-hammock (we have one) weather, Winter can bring snow, mud and harder to access. Road Conditions: The road to Crown King is no Sunday drive—it’s bumpy, rocky, and occasionally character-building. High-clearance vehicles (SUVs, Outbacks, trucks) are required. In winter or wet weather, 4x4 is mandatory. Weather is not a refundable excuse; plan accordingly. Absolutely no low vans or cars, unless you enjoy being the star in your own off-road recovery reality show.
