The cottage is located on the lakeside of the US-12 Highway in a quiet neighborhood near Whittaker. One fun feature of the home is that the location is only a short walk from the Amtrak stop in New Buffalo, so it's perfect for a no-car vacation if you want to get away from city life. Inside, you'll find a well-equipped eat-in kitchen, a family room, a living area, and a beautiful three-season sitting room overlooking the backyard, perfect for an evening of family time. The family room futon is not suitable for adults but is perfect for the youngster of the family. Complimentary high-speed WiFi is provided and we suggest you bring your Firestick, Roku, or Apple TV for hours of entertainment. You'll also have access to a digital antenna that gets many channels. Kick back on the porch, grill on the gas barbecue, or enjoy a peaceful time around the firepit - there's plenty of room in the spacious backyard for the great spring, summer, and fall evenings! WHAT’S NEARBY The New Buffalo Public Beach is within walking distance, less than a mile from the house, and you can walk to the marina for many shops and places to dine or enjoy coffee. Bicycle, kayak, surfboard, and sailboard rentals are nearby for outdoor activity, and there are lots of trails and parks to explore. If you've got a shopping itch to scratch, the Michigan City outlet malls are close by in Michigan City. This is a perfect location to relax and enjoy it all! Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out.
