Gentleman's Quarters - Rosemary Inn Bed & Breakfast

Located on the second floor overlooking the veranda and lush gardens, this room was occupied by each of the Jackson boys when they were the oldest male child or “gentleman” of the house. The room is adorned with fine paintings of hunting dogs and is furnished with a pair of Queen Anne high-back chairs, beautifully carved breakfront, large writing desk, end tables, and a four-poster king bed residing atop an antique needle point rug. The breakfront was given to Mr. Jackson upon completion of Rosemary Hall by the Governor Jenkins of Georgia. The private bath has a shower/tub combination, a closet for your convenience, and lavish bath amenities. The room is 256 square feet, bathroom is 55 square feet, for a total of 311 square feet. Rosemary Inn sits majestically in the heart of North Augusta less than a mile from the Savannah River and downtown Augusta, Georgia. This stunning Southern mansion was built in 1902 by the town’s founding father, James U. Jackson. Rosemary’s interior is steeped in the elegance and style of the fashionable Gilded Age, boasting the intricate architecture and exquisite woodwork of that bygone era. Her twelve stately columns and large sweeping veranda can easily romance you back to the time of a lazy summer afternoon, a mint julep, and all the allure of the antebellum days. Other things to note Guests are provided a hot-served gourmet breakfast each morning during their stay. It is served at 8:30 a.m. on weekdays and 9:00 a.m. on weekends.
