This is a private cottage with onsen. It is a 9 minute walk from the entrance gate of Zao Sansuien. Also within walking distance of a grocery store. You can enjoy the hot spring in the bath. ・Please read and follow the "House Rules" when making reservations and staying at the cottage. ・Please note that Zao Onsen is about 60 km away and Ginzan Onsen is about 100 km away. The space Welcome to "aiaiai – A Dog’s Promenade" A private, two-story cottage with its own natural hot spring bath – perfect for you and your furry companion. Stroll with Your Dog Step out from the wooden deck on the first floor and into a lovely garden full of seasonal flowers and trees, such as hydrangeas, camellias, crepe myrtles, fragrant olives, maples, Chinese ground orchids, lilies of the valley, and marigolds. Follow the charming white stone path through the garden and you’ll soon find yourself on the natural grassy banks of the Matsukawa stream – an ideal walking trail for dogs. Take a happy stroll together, surrounded by smiles and nature. Starry Sky Views From the balcony, enjoy dazzling starry skies, especially during the new moon. In early summer, look for the Scorpius constellation. In summer, see the story of Orihime and Hikoboshi (Vega and Altair) along the Milky Way. In autumn, Pegasus gallops across the sky, while winter brings Orion and the brilliant Sirius. In spring, the Leo constellation races overhead. Can you find your zodiac constellation? The Cottage The entire house is climate-controlled: cool in summer and warm in winter with central heating. Natural Hot Spring Bath Our on-site hot spring is 100% natural—no added heat or water. Its color may vary from milky white, reddish, to clear depending on the day. It’s known to help with neuralgia, muscle pain, shoulder stiffness, cuts, burns, and more (low-tonicity, neutral, high-temperature spring). Meals Your stay includes special discount coupons for use at cafés and restaurants in the Zao Fukushi no Mori area—perfect for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Of course, the kitchen is also fully equipped with cooking utensils and tableware, so feel free to show off your own culinary skills! Accommodation Policy "aiaiai – A Dog’s Promenade" is a fully private rental villa accommodating up to 6 guests. The base rate covers up to 4 guests. Additional charges apply for each guest beyond the 4th person. No special child rate: Children aged 2 and over are counted as adults. "[About the Accommodation Tax in Miyagi Prefecture] To support tourism recovery in Miyagi Prefecture, an accommodation tax of 300 yen per person per night will be charged. Please note that this tax must be paid separately at the time of check-in. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation." Children under 2 stay free (no bedding or towels provided). If you need extra bedding for a child under 2, please include them in your guest count. Amenities Towels and toothbrushes are provided in your room upon arrival. One bath towel per guest is provided for every 2 nights. Additional towels are available: bath towels (rental, ¥330), face towels (purchase, ¥220) at the management office (9:00 AM–8:00 PM). Please do not take towels home. Additional amenities (razors, cotton swabs, body towels, hairbrushes) can be picked up at the management office (9:00 AM–8:00 PM). Shampoo, conditioner, and body soap are provided in the bathroom.
