It opens onto an elevated deck, leading to the forest and trails. It is a 4-mile drive to urban conveniences and 11 miles to downtown attractions. Access to the Blue Ridge Parkway is 8 miles away. Floyd, Va., a destination for bluegrass and old-time music, is 32 miles away. The space Dwell among the woodland creatures in our elevated mountain observatory, with all of the comforts of home. Secluded, compact and secure, it is designed for efficiency and comfort. The deck offers a visual and physical gateway into the forest. The steep and curving Mt. Chestnut Road is bounded by scenic beauty. Drive up from the Roselawn Road side, and you will be rewarded by an expansive view of the Roanoke Valley below. The roads are fine for all vehicles and skill levels, if you take it slow and easy. Other things to note Enjoy our mountain water. Our well water has been tested, and it's excellent for drinking - no need to bring bottled water.
