1920's Lakefront Cabin

Our beautiful 1920s rustic 2 bedroom cabin sits on Lake Iroquois, 25 Minutes away from Burlington, Vermont. Perfect for a quiet getway with the family or for couples. Great fishing, kayaking, canoeing, relaxing and swimming. ***PLEASE SEE DETAILS BELOW FOR FALL STAYS The space Situated off a private dirt road, stepping into our cabin is like a time warp. Rustic charm, warm sun drenched wood, a porch lined with windows looking out over the lake, beautiful sunsets and stone fireplace make our cabin a perfect spot to relax and soak up Vermont. There are two small private bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with a double bed. The sun porch has two cots and a pull out couch. We encourage smaller groups of 2-4 and families while we get a feel for how guests enjoy the cabin. While it is a spacious, its not suitable for larger parties, for long stays or people interested in loud parties. We are currently not renting out for more than 5 days at a time, as our family also likes to use it sporadically throughout the summer and fall! There is a 3/4 bath upstairs and a hot water shower underneath the camp next to the woodpile where the boats are kept. Fully equipped kitchen includes a 4 burner electric stove with oven, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, cookware, and outdoor gas grill. NOTE**** ALL water is brought in for drinking and cooking, we provide some jugs for your stay but recommend having your own as well. There is running hot and cold water in the kitchen and bathroom for dishes, washing hands and the flush toilet. *Gas Heat in the main room only * Stone Fireplace *Gas Grill for outdoor cooking. The dirt road is quite vermont-like and slow going around the lake, but is nice for strolls. Situated about a mile away walk is a beautiful public beach on the North end of the lake. We do have neighbors on both sides of us, our camp is close to the end of the road, private and quiet. The community is friendly, many long time owners. **** Early Summer/ Late Fall stays NOTE******--Vermont weather is unpredictable. There is only a gas heater in the main room with the fireplace with a futon. If booking early in the season or in the fall please make sure you are prepared with warm clothing and sleeping bags as the rest of the camp is not insulated. We recommend no more than 2-3 guests during this time as it can get cozy with limited space. That being said, if you enjoy a rustic environment that is warmer than camping please feel free to book! Other things to note This location is perfect. Burlington (25 Min north) is a spectacular city with lots of outdoor pedestrian walkways and shopping, music, theater, a vibrant waterfront, and great nightlife with incredible farm to table restaurants. Middlebury, 1/2 hour south, is home of beautiful Middlebury college campus. Shelburne is a 15 minute drive and home to the Shelbune Museum, Shelburne Vinyard, and Fiddlehead Brewing.
