Welcome to the Hideaway on the Hill! This getaway backs onto a serene nature reserve and the amazing Beaver Boardwalk and Happy Creek mountain bike trails. We are only 20 mins from the gates of Jasper National Park (50 mins to Jasper town), making this location ideal for outdoor enthusiasts! We are also only 20 mins to the Hinton Nordic Centre, with groomed cross country ski trails. This large home has all the amenities you would need for a short or long stay and is ideal for groups or families. The space This home has everything you need on one level. The elevated patio deck equipped with a BBQ is a stunning feature of the home and puts you at the tree top level where you can watch the birds and enjoy nature. In the winter time, you can enjoy cross country skiing 20 mins away at the Hinton Nordic Centre, a world-class facility with 35 km of expertly groomed trails for skating and classic skiing, a large rustic day lodge, and a biathlon range. For downhill enthusiasts, Marmot Basin is 1 hour 15 mins away. The house features a fully stocked kitchen with complimentary breakfast items provided (pancake mix, syrup, waffle maker), the coffee counter (french press, drip coffee maker, kettle, coffee, tea, honey, sugar and hot chocolate), and all the dishware, silverware, pots and pans you'll need to cook a meal. There are 2 bathrooms (1 main bathroom has shower/tub combo and 1 ensuite in the master bedroom that has a jetted tub only, NO SHOWER HEAD). The 3 bedrooms and 1 sofa bed (in the living room) will provide ample sleeping space for up to 6 people. Please note that the king and queen beds are a bit on the high side. We do however, provide step stools for your convenience. For your down time after a day of hiking or on those rainy days, we have a shelf stocked with games, puzzles and books. The TV has Amazon Prime as well. Guest access Guests can park 2 vehicles in our driveway and street parking is always free and readily available on our street. Guests will not have access to the basement of the home as this is where we live. There will be no access to laundry room unless you are staying for longer than one week. Other things to note Please note that the king and queen beds are a bit on the high side. We do however, provide step stools for your convenience. Also, note that the ensuite in the master bedroom has a jetted tub only, NO SHOWER HEAD). The home DOES NOT have air conditioning but we do provide numerous floor fans and 2 ceiling fans. There is no guest laundry for stays less than a week. Also, we do have a cat that lives in the basement unit, but does not access the upstairs rental unit.
