The Harry Potter Room

Hi there! My name is Nate and welcome to our home! I moved to Berkeley for school and after graduating in 2021 my friend Eric and I teamed up to buy a home together here in Berkeley. We’ve been working to improve the property non-stop since then, and even though there’s still a lot to do, we’re proud to share the progress with you. If you’re looking for a fun, communal, and budget-friendly place to stay we’d love to have you! The space PLEASE NOTE: This room is in a unit behind our main home. To access the main kitchen and living room you will need to go outside and into the main house; however, there is a connected bathroom. See listing photos for a better idea. Thanks for checking out our tiny little backroom! The room has recently been completely remodeled and has a twin-sized bed with a super comfy Casper mattress, a down duvet, and lots of pillows. There's additional storage under the bed a large electric standing desk and an office chair if you need to work from home. We’re happy to help you out with any other furnishings you might need! If you get cold every room is equipped with a wall heater as well as a heated blanket. We’ve also got two wireless networks that cover the entirety of the property so you’ll get 100-500 MBPS anywhere you go inside or outside! Guest access While you have a private room equipped with a keyed deadbolt, you’ll have shared access to the rest of the property including shared access to each of our three newly remodeled bathrooms, living room/dining area, kitchen, backyard (with a cool fountain I was able to get running), and laundry room. Feel free to pick fruit from our orchard. We’ve got pears, pomegranates, lemons, oranges, avocados, and nectarines! Kitchen access is shared between everyone but you’ll have a dedicated cubby in the pantry and a drawer in the fridge. You’re welcome to use anything in the kitchen that isn’t someone else’s food, we just ask you to clean up after cooking and don’t “soak” ;) your dishes. During your stay Eric and I both live here so we’ll for sure get to talk. Happy to give you as much space as you’d like but we’re also super happy to hang out. We try and throw a movie night or party now and then and all guests are always very much welcome. I do my best to make sure everyone has a quiet and peaceful place to work/study/relax.
