This cozy mountain home on the Blue Ridge Parkway has a great room with a steel-beamed vaulted ceiling, a gas fireplace and two sliding glass doors that open to a large deck with breathtaking mountain view’s. Bedroom 1 has a Queen cedar log bed and attached half-bath. Bedroom 2 has Twin over full log bunk bed. Bedroom 3, on the lower level, has a King-size bed, an attached bath with jacuzzi tub and it’s own private deck. Walk to the neighborhoods basketball and tennis courts. Watch the beautiful sunrises from atop Groundhog Mountain looking down over the foothills of North Carolina and later enjoy the twinkling lights of the distant towns come alive at night. You’ll see the views as soon as you step into the great room through two sets of oversize sliding glass which lead out to a large upper deck. The upper deck has a Polywood table that seats six, a tabletop fire pit that you connect your phone to and the fire will beat to the musica and a gas grill to enjoy making meals and checking out the view or be on the lookout for deer walking below. You can also enjoy the view from the master bedroom in the lower level from your bed or your own private deck with two comfy Egg Chairs. If it rains, you'll enjoy falling asleep to sound of the rain on the roof. You can also cozy up near the gas fireplace that is remote controlled, relax and read, or play one of the many board games that are available. The home is well furnished with new couches, new outdoor table, new cedar log queen bed, new twin over log bunkbed, new log dressers and end tables from an Amish local furniture store. The kitchen is fully stocked for all your cooking needs. We provide for your use: pots, pans, plates, glasses, utensils, pizza cutter, cookie sheets, blender, toaster, wine glasses, and a battery powered wine opener to name a few. A Keurig coffee machine in the kitchen that you can make a pot with or make a single serve cup. Coffee mugs and pods in a variety of flavors are supplied. A full laundry room is available, including an iron if you want to smooth out some wrinkles. All towels, washcloths and bedding are supplied. Just bring your clothes! There are two tv's in the house. One in the great room, and one in the master. TV's are setup with streaming services including Hulu, Netflix and Amazon Prime. The home is located in a small quiet subdivision right off the Blue Ridge Parkway between the quaint towns of Fancy Gap and Meadows of Dan, VA. Located within the subdivision are tennis, basketball courts and horseshoe pits. We have horseshoes available for use. Larger towns nearby are Mount Airy, NC and Galax, VA which are both about a 30 min away. Great sites to visit nearby are Mabry Mill, Olde Mill Golf Course, Blue Ridge Music Center, Buffalo Mountain Ziplines, New River Outdoor Adventures, Lovers Leap Scenic Outlook, local wineries and more.
