"The Cabin" is nestled at the edge of our farmland property, in the middle of 20+ acres of forest and wetland, beside Balsam Lake. Enjoy the campfire from the porch, watch the snow fall in the peaceful clearing, and fall asleep to the flicker of the fireplace. This cabin is one of a kind, completely off-grid, powered by solar and propane. It features a propane stove, small kitchen, running water, and an indoor shower! Enjoy the trails, visit the farm animals, or simply enjoy the quiet seclusion. The space The lower level includes a propane stove, futon/sofa bed, small kitchen, dining room table, and back room with storage, secondary entrance, and a shower. Climb up the ladder to find a cozy loft with a queen bed and a window overlooking the clearing out front of the cabin. There is a futon on the lower level that can accommodate up to two extra guests. The outhouse is located steps from the front porch. The cabin is situated in the middle of a 30+ acre forest, offering total seclusion, uninterrupted quiet, and total darkness. We invite our guests to embrace the wilderness and enjoy this unique getaway! Guest access Guests will have the cabin and several surrounding acres to themselves, but may encounter other guests or the owners on the trails and in other parts of the property. Other things to note Our adorable cabin offers an off-grid wilderness experience. Please be sure to note the following: - there is no indoor toilet, the outhouse is close by though - there is no wifi - there is no air conditioning - we recommend bringing battery powered devices, though we encouraged an unplugged experience! - the walk to the cabin is approximately 10 minutes from the parking area - please read our check-in info document sent via the chat and the document on the kitchen table upon arrival for operational instructions Additional paid experiences include: - meeting the farm animals - horse drawn sleigh rides are available during the winter months - horse drawn wagon rides are available during summer and shoulder seasons Please book animal interactions or sleigh/wagon rides in advance.
