Description
You and your travel companions will be in an ideal Pgh spot when you stay at this Friendship neighborhood home. With 3 floors, you'll have lots of room to spread out or gather together. This beautifully updated 100-year-old home is a creative space, filled with art from Pgh artists, cheery textiles from around the world, and vintage decor scattered throughout. It’s a charming retreat for artists & writers, a cozy spot for families, or the perfect place for larger groups to share a getaway. The space The first floor consists of the sun porch (indoors), living room, kitchen, dining room, and powder room. The back door opens onto a little porch big enough for 2 chairs and a small table. The living room couch folds down into a single bed. The dining room has a table that seats four or expands to seat 6 with the leaves. The kitchen has a dining counter with three wooden stools. (There's also a high chair available for families with small kids.) The second floor has two bedrooms that share a full bathroom in between them. One bedroom has a double bed; the other has a queen bed. The third floor is the biggest room, with a queen bed and a little couch that folds into a single bed. There's also a Pack' n Play that can be set up. This room also has a little office space with a desk, and beyond that, a walk-in closet, as well as an attached full bathroom and tons of storage space. *Please note: the house has room for 8, assuming that 2 people are sharing each of the regular beds and then 2 more people are on the 2 couch fold-outs. If everyone wants to be in a regular bed, then it sleeps 6. The basement is a typical Pittsburgh basement—unfinished. But here you'll have access to a washer and dryer, an ironing board/iron, and a drying rack. We also provide laundry detergent. Guest access The entire half of the duplex is yours; we live on the other side but don't share any spaces except for the entry foyer. The back porch is yours to use. The backyard and patio can sometimes be available if advance arrangements are made, but we do use those spaces, as do our two very small (and friendly!) dogs.
