The Toolshed, a luxury Cotswold eco cottage

Kick back & relax in this calm, stylish space at the heart of the Cotswold village of Marshfield. Perfect for long country walks, 6 miles from The Georgian City of Bath and 12 from vibrant Bristol with Castle Combe & Lacock close by. A super insulated eco build, stone cottage with underfloor heating. There is a gorgeous DeVOL kitchen for those who love to cook or a hearty pub just around the corner. The Toolshed is the perfect country bolthole for couples looking to relax and slow down. The space Renovation completed in October 2022. The Toolshed encompasses open plan living with an underfloor heated, polished concrete floor throughout. Guests can relax in front of the fire in comfort after a day walking in the beautiful surrounding countryside. More logs are available on request. Upstairs on the mezzanine level is a cosy bedroom. The comfortable kingsize bed has quality bedding and crisp, white 100% cotton sheets from The White Company. The Velux windows upstairs have blackout blinds and guests will wake up to the beautiful view through the round window at the far end of the house which is not curtained. There is a height restriction as this is in the eaves. Storage can be found behind the headboard. The full kitchen by DeVOL is perfect for foodies. The freezer is stocked with a delicious selection of Marshfield Ice-creams on an honesty box basis. There is an electric Bertazzoni oven, a dishwasher, Nespresso machine and milk frother and a cafetière. Milk, butter and local essentials are provided in a welcome hamper. There are also selections of teas, coffee pods and washing up essentials provided. The Nespresso Catiz coffee machine takes the original sized pods and there is a milk frother to complete your morning coffee. The shower room downstairs has a warm towel rail and a Dyson hairdryer available. Tea tree & Aloe Vera body wash, shampoo and conditioner is provided. Outside there is a private patio and a raised stone sink with hot water for cleaning tired and happy dogs or muddy boots. Dog towels and shampoo available. We will provide dog bowls too.
